Chapter 125 You’ll Help Me, Right?

Maggie paused, feeling doubtful.

Judging by Nathael’s character, he wouldn’t use Alex’s phone even when he can’t reach me.

Deciding against answering, she rejected the call.

Moments later, Alex’s number lit up her screen once more. Maggie frowned and sought out a quiet spot to

answer.

“Hello!”

“Ms. Adam.”

Upon hearing Alex’s voice, Maggie breathed a sigh of relief.

I knew it wasn’t Nathael.

“What’s up?” Maggie asked.

“Mr. Harris would like to meet you at Suite 1666,” Alex stated politely yet distantly over the phone.

Maggie was stunned speechless.

Suite

Nathael knows I’m here?

She glanced around, lamenting her bad luck for running into him again.

But as she looked up, she spotted a crowd surrounding a man on the nearby stairs, emitting at commanding presence.

Nathael stood tall, exuding an aura of authority. His face was composed and cool, his intense gaze fixed on her.

Their eyes met amidst the dazzling lights and bustling crowd.

Maggie slowly lowered her phone, standing still as she observed him silently.

In that moment, the loud music and energetic atmosphere seemed distant.

Maggie recognized the suit he wore; it was the one they had picked out together. Despite the initial sting of spending so much, she had to admit she felt happy seeing him wear it.

Nathael’s eyes met hers, silently gazing at her.

She wore a beige dress. Her complexion was fair, and her hair was neatly styled to reveal her graceful neck and delicate collarbones, resembling a proud swan.

Though she appeared aloof, her sharp features emitted a captivating allure, creating a contradictory but harmonized beauty.

Chapter 125 You’ll Help Me, Right?

Maggie lifted her phone again. Meeting Nathael’s gaze, she asked Alex, “What does he want from me?”

Alex glanced at Nathael’s expression, and seeing no indication from him to speak, he replied, “Mr. Harris might just want to see you.”

Maggie teased lightly. “Really? Is he feeling generous today?”

Alex remained silent, unable to offer a response.

Instead, he cautioned, “It’s best not to upset Mr. Harris.”

Maggie sensed sincerity in Alex’s words. After all, nobody would gain when Nathael was upset.

“Alright. I’ll be there in ten minutes.”

Upon receiving confirmation, Alex breathed a sigh of relief and nodded to Nathael.

After bidding farewell to the Winston family, Nathael withdrew his gaze and made his way to the suite.

Meanwhile, downstairs. Maggie returned to Shawn’s side and exchanged a few words with him.

Shawn followed her gaze towards the stairs and then looked away. The man upstairs, isn’t that…

Unable to bring up the person upstairs by name, he didn’t finish his sentence.

While others might only see Nathael as the powerful newcomer in Aquapolis, those who knew him better felt a mix of awe and fear.

Maggie smiled faintly. “I think it was Mr. Nathael Harris.”

Nathael scoffed, “Shawn’s days are numbered before he gets caught. I think you know that, Ms. Adam.”

Maggie’s heart sank, feeling vexed.

How did Nathael find out?

Well, news of Shawn’s impending capture must’ve spread within our circle. But the question is, why is Nathael telling me this now?

What’s his agenda?

“Maggie, does Ronald know you’re in cahoots with Ericko against the Camerons?” Nathael asked slowly, his dark eyes reflecting her figure.

Maggie bit her lip, feeling agitated.

What bad luck. I just had a quick meeting with Shawn, and I ran into him. Nathael’s really observant and smart; he can see through my thoughts effortlessly, leaving me nowhere to hide.

No wonder he still managed to wrest the Harrises‘ inheritance rights and corner the Camerons even after I had tricked him countless times in my past life.

Regaining her composure, Maggie swiftly poured a drink and approached Nathael, giving him a look of attempted flattery.

“Nathael, I’m your woman. You won’t collude with others and hang me out to dry, would you?”

Glancing at her, Nathael raised an eyebrow and repeated softly, “Collude with others?”

“Oh, no, conspire,” Maggie corrected herself. The word sounded negative, so she opted for a worse term to annoy him while pretending to be diplomatic.

But those innocent and sparkly eyes of hers made it impossible for him to get mad.

With a sorrowful gaze, Maggie expressed her frustration. “I’ve mentioned to you before–on the surface, it seems that the Camerons have treated me well over the years, but they’ve always had ulterior motives and. exploited me whenever they get the chance. Of course I can’t keep helping them in their endeavors like an idiot.”

Chapter 125 You’ll Help Me, Right?

She glanced at Nathael’s expression, probing. “You’ll help me, right?”

In other words, don’t ruin my plan!
