Chapter 143 Three Minutes

Nathael just stared at her quietly, his throat bobbing a bit.

Maggie was all hyped up and didn’t care about what she said. Soon enough, she couldn’t help but dash back to the door, begging, “Come on, let me peek again, I swear I won’t even breathe loud!”

The fight was still strong, one–sided, and intense outside the door.

Maggie knew Joseph had been polished up nicely by the Camerons, so he wasn’t a lightweight. He couldn’t stand up to Nathael but held his ground.

But Maggie was amazed when Joseph couldn’t even last a few minutes against Alex, who usually handled the paperwork.

Talk about a curveball!

“I had no idea Mr. Solace, who seems so shy, had those kinds of fighting chops.”

Maggie pondered to herself momentarily before turning to Nathael and saying, “Mr. Solace knows how to throw down, huh? He’s like a giant in my book, standing at 2.8 metres!”

Nathael stayed cool as a cucumber, secretly wishing he was the one duking it out.

Sensing something. Maggie glanced at Nathacl, her gaze softening as she remarked, “You, my friend, are a towering 3.8 metres in my heart.”

A slight grin appeared on Nathael’s face, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes.

“Mr. Cameron, you’ve surprised me. I didn’t think you’d last more than ten minutes, but here you are.”

Alex couldn’t help but admire Joseph’s resilience as he looked at him.

In Alex’s view, Joseph seemed to be hanging on by a thread. If he bailed, it would definitely cause problems.

Hoping Joseph could tough it out a little longer, Alex reassured him, “I won’t drag this out. You can come

in after ten minutes.”

Despite tasting blood in his mouth, Joseph wrestled with the idea of leaving but ultimately chose to stick it out, enduring a few more minutes.

He knew that Nathael was a force to be reckoned with. Still, the Camerons had become overconfident due to their previous victories, misjudging the current situation.

Alex’s fist connected with his face as Joseph thought things over, making his check quiver and contort.

In just a few minutes, Joseph was soaked in sweat, blood streaming down his face.

Feeling desperate for someone to step in, Joseph frantically scanned his surroundings, searching for a way

to escape.

It seemed like his prayers had been answered when a man and a woman came out of a nearby room, clearly surprised by Joseph’s condition.

Chapter 143 Three Minutes

Feeling relieved, Joseph was caught off guard when Alex extended a hand to help him, acting like they were pals and laughing about some drunken mishap.

But as reality sank in for the bystanders, Joseph tried to explain himself.

With Alex’s elbow cinched tightly around Joseph’s neck, his face turned red as a pig’s liver, but he couldn’t utter a single word.

As he witnessed the two of them disappear from sight, Alex flung Joseph over his shoulder, slamming him. hard onto the ground.

The Camerons weren’t exactly renowned for their kindness.

Maggie didn’t dare provoke Alex; after all, he answered Mr. Harris, and any retaliation would likely be directed solely at Joseph.

Feeling dizzy from the thrashing, Joseph grappled with a loss he’d never encountered, all because of his. ties to the Camerons.

Chapter 143 Three Minutes

Unable to resist, she snapped a few photos, intending to keep them as a pick–me–up for when she felt low.

The typically handsome man was now a mess, blood coating him and clumps of blood and hair sticking together. His clothes were soaked in red, his eyes swollen, and blood was seeping from his mouth, presenting a particularly dishevelled sight.

In that instant, Nathael glanced at him, his deep pupils as dark as ink.

“I’ll give you three more minutes.”

The eerie mist dispersed, blurring the man’s handsome yet stern visage, leaving Joseph feeling weak in the knees.

Joseph’s heart clenched, and he spoke without holding back, “I understand Mr. Harris holds immense

If power, and we Camerons don’t want to be on your bad side, but Maggie is my sisteve harmed her in any way, I…

Nathael glanced at the clock and calmly interrupted, “Two minutes and twenty seconds remaining.”

“If Maggie has somehow offended you, I hope Mr. Harris can find it in his heart to forgive her. I…”

“One minute and fifty seconds.”

Joseph paused, feeling tight in his throat, and shifted gears: “If you genuinely care for Maggie, we’ll fully support you. But if this is just a game to you, she’s not that kind of woman.”

“One minute,” Nathael interrupted.

Growing increasingly anxious, Joseph continued speaking. Under the mounting pressure, some words slipped out unintentionally. “Maggie approached you with hidden intentions. She’s only trying to manipulate you for the Camerons‘ benefit! We Camerons have no desire to be your adversaries, but we can’t control Maggie’s actions. I want to caution you to be wary, Mr. Harris!”
