Chapter 16 Can We Start Over?

Maggie blinked her clear eyes in confusion. She hadn’t done anything to upset him!

However, as she thought about his threat to ruin Joseph, a glimmer of anticipation and excitement. appeared in her eyes.

She wanted to see it!

She truly desired it!

What was Joseph but a worthless piece of trash? She wished for his downfall to come sooner!

But Nathael didn’t understand. He wouldn’t believe her even if she told him. Maggie felt so helpless, and it was incredibly difficult to hold back.

Enduring hardships and tasting bitterness was not something a person should have to go through.

But in the end, she couldn’t help but approach him, blinking her eyes, and cautiously ask, “Really?”

Nathael looked at her with a deep gaze, inexplicably sensing her excitement.

But he felt he was overthinking. Her expression should be worried for Joseph.

In reality. Maggie was rubbing her hands together in anticipation.

Could Joseph truly be ruined?

Would angering Nathael lead to Joseph’s downfall?

Could such a fortunate event occur?

But even though she pondered it, Maggie didn’t dare to genuinely anger Nathael. After all, she was afraid of him even in her past life.

Although he was indulgent towards her, he would find a way to deal with her if he was truly angered..

Maggie’s mood plummeted once again when she thought about it.

That’s right, in her past life, she had ruined her face and lost her sight. Nathael couldn’t bear to touch her. But she was always thinking about Ronald, Joseph, and Sierra, which often angered him, and he would use them as bargaining chips.

Looking back now, she was truly foolish and ridiculous.

Maggie couldn’t help but smile bitterly when she thought about those “family members” who had shown their love for her and reflected on the dreams Nathael had woven for her.

She couldn’t imagine what kind of feelings this man in front of her had when he knew the truth, yet still provided benefits to the Camerons so they would show concern for her.

Thinking about her joy and anticipation back then, Maggie wanted to slap herself!

Chapter 16 Can We Start Over?

If, in the past, she was all for Joseph. But now, he no longer understood her.

Nathael withdrew his gaze, suppressing the urge to strangle her, and coldly said, “Get out”

Maggie couldn’t say anything.

He was angry.

Why was he so easily angered? Maggie looked down and felt dejected. It seemed that regaining his trust would be a long and arduous journey.

Nathael suppressed his anger, afraid he would lose control and do something to her.

He walked towards the bathroom with a stern face, planning to take a cold shower to calm down.

He closed his eyes irritably. His mind was in turmoil.

She always had a way of making him lose control.

Maggie caught up with him and subconsciously grabbed the corner of his clothes. Her red lips were slightly pursed. She looked at him pitifully and whispered. “I know I was wrong.”

Maggie realized she had never truly apologized for her past actions.

Whether he understood or not…

“I’m sorry.” Her eyes were red. Her gaze was severe and stubborn.

Nathael frowned and thought she was apologizing to Joseph. But when he saw her tear–filled eyes, another voice in his heart told him it wasn’t.

His thin lips were slightly pursed. He looked at her with his dark eyes and asked hoarsely, “What did you do wrong?”

Yes, she was a polite Maggie!

Without waiting for Nathael’s response, Maggie turned and left. Perhaps due to the amount she had already consumed at the banquet that night, plus the bottle on Nathael’s coffee table, she soon felt her head spinning and her vision blurring.

Maggie frowned and shook her head vigorously.

She hadn’t gone far when she felt a wave of darkness before her eyes and the world spinning around her.

She leaned on the sofa and made up her mind to leave. Otherwise, the petty Nathael would think she had hidden motives.

But her legs felt so heavy, and she couldn’t take a step.

Had she been filled with lead?

Maggie leaned on the sofa and slid onto the carpet beside it.

She took out her phone, intending to call Mia to pick her up. Otherwise, she might not make it home in this state.

Yes, it is important for a girl to always prioritize her safety.

However, what kind of wine is that?

It must be fake! It had much a strong impact on her!

After struggling to unlock her phone for a while, she finally found Mia’s number through her blurred vision and dialed it. Suddenly, a long, slender hand took her phone and ended the call.

Maggie furrowed her brow in dissatisfaction. She stared at the man in front of her with accusing eyes. Her lips slightly pouted as she said, “You’re bullying me.”

Nathael’s hair was partially dry. He wore dark blue pajamas, revealing his pale and alluring neckline.

He glanced at the disturbed bottle on the coffee table and sighed. Then, he leaned down to lift Maggic.

Maggie snuggled contentedly in his arms, extended her hand in complaint, pinched her thumb and little finger together, and whispered, “Your heart is only this small.”

“Hmm,” Nathael responded nonchalantly.

Maggie’s eyelids grew heavier and heavier. She softly murmured, “Can we start over?”
