Chapter 241 Expressing Her Wishes.

The following day, in the early hours, Maggie awoke to a wave of intense pain. Her mind felt foggy and heavy, as if struggling to emerge from a deep slumber. The pain coursing through her ankle was particularly excruciating, making it nearly impossible for her to even lift it.

Maggie furrowed her brow as she struggled to sit up. It was only then that she realised, perhaps as a result of yesterday’s ordeal, that her once–reduced swelling in her ankle had flared up again.

Now, it appeared as though someone had meticulously tended to it, wrapping it with thick bandages.

As her fingers extended, she made contact with it, drawing in a sudden inhale.

It’s true that happiness invariably transforms into sadness.

The day prior, with a sense of illness and minimal discomfort in her foot, she dismissed it lightly. Engaging in both driving and drinking, she failed to grasp gravity. Now, she finds herself right back where she started today.

Glancing sideways, Maggie observed Nathael’s absence, pondering whether he was occupied elsewhere.

Clad in a gentle nightgown, her recollection was hazy. She faintly remembered drifting off on Nathael’s back afterwards.

Upon arriving home, Nathael assisted her with a brief shower, and she complied in a foggy state. Subsequently, she slipped into complete unconsciousness.

As she rubbed her forehead, Maggie acknowledged the consequences of drinking, uncertain if she had uttered anything nonsensical.

Maggie rose and checked her phone, discovering a video message from Mia

Upon opening it, she couldn’t resist arching an eyebrow.

The video displayed her intoxicated performance on the piano at the nightclub from the previous evening.

In contrast to her meticulously dressed demeanour with Nathael earlier that day, she now wore a white dress amidst dimly lit and bustling surroundings.

Vividly illuminated by an array of colourful lights, the nighttime scene enveloped the stage in a mesmerising and enigmatic aura.

Under the dimly lit ambience, the rich hues of dark red, deep blue, and emerald green interplayed, creating a shimmering spectacle.

With her hair casually pulled back, exposing her slender neck, she sat on the stage, her back turned to the crowd, engrossed in playing music.

Surrounded by an aura of isolation, everything seemed centred around her, as if she were the focal point. The dim red lights enveloped/her white dress in a layer of gothic crimson, imparting an air of mystery and

allure.

Amidst the chaos and commotion, the bustling environment faded into the background, while a sense of

performance.

The scene was captured beautifully, yet the angle and lighting rendered it somewhat amateurish, lacking the polish of a professional production. Moreover, Mia recorded it on a phone, making it fail to reach the same level as before.

However, upon viewing it, Maggie promptly made the decision to utilise the video, leveraging her past renown to generate attention, and eagerly anticipating Sierra’s reaction.

Maggie forwarded the video to Leo, following up with the directive, “Arrange for the previous blogger to publish it online.”

Following a reply, Maggie messaged Mia succinctly: ‘Mia, the photographer!

Possibly Mia was still asleep, given the absence of a response.

As Maggie prepared to rise for a glass of water, a message from Timmothy appeared in the chat box.

‘Maggie, has your foot injury improved? Do you require Mr.–Hudson’s assistance with some medicine? Though its efficacy may not be optimal, it’s better than nothing.

Maggie glanced at his message, her expression a mixture of emotions.

Timmothy likely wasn’t alluding to her foot injury but rather to the “Dream Venom” that had afflicted her.

Considering the dynamics between Timmothy and Nathael, she opted to postpone any meetings with Timmothy for the time being.

She promptly responded: I’ve found another physician, so there’s no need to trouble Mr. Hudson.

While Samuel seemed the most promising candidate to cure her “Dream Venom,” Maggie preferred to await updates from Lucas first, exploring other options in the meantime.

Considering she had endured the effects of this poison for quite a while, waiting another month or two likely wouldn’t make a significant difference.

‘Furthermore, I have some fresh concepts regarding the villa that I’d like to discuss with you personally!

Timmothy’s message popped up once more.

Maggie sighed, her mind drifting to the task she had taken from him, which only intensified her headache.

“What does Timmothy really want?” she wondered.

She replied: ‘Given my recent busy schedule, I might not be able to make it.

She considered reaching out to Timmothy for clarification or passing the task to another colleague.

However, upon second thought,/she quickly dismissed the ideas

She couldn’t comprehend his intentions. The only possibility she could entertain was that he might be leveraging her to confront Nathael.

Could Timmothy resort to such tactics?

While Maggie didn’t view him as virtuous, she found herself unable to decipher his motives.

Lost in contemplation, Marie didn’t notice Nathael entering the room.

Observing his expression intently, she inquired, “Did I say anything untoward last night?”

Nathael poured her a glass of water before responding in a deep tone, “Such as?”

Maggie remained unsure and insisted, “How can I know? That’s why I’m asking you!”

Nathael regarded her with a cold paze smirking “You asked me if I have sexual dysfunction.”

Chapter 241 Expressing Her Wishes

Maggie straightened abruptly, perplexed.

Despite harbouring this doubt, how could I possibly bring myself to ask?

I won’t believe it!

Wearing a solemn expression, she declared, “You can’t fool me. I attended elementary school.”

Unexpectedly, Nathael leaned in, bent down, and kissed her fervently.

The desires she harboured had been expressed yesterday.

She longed to watch the sunrise and the sea with him, to grow old together, and to have children with him.

She talked about organising a jewellery exhibition, then a design exhibition, wanting to win more prestigious awards. And she even dreamed of designing their own house with her own hands.

She also confessed that he was the one she loved most in the world and implored him never to abandon her halfway.

She even said that if she were to die first, she would wait for him in heaven.
