Chapter 61 Someone Is Pining After Your Crush

“Don’t you think two of them look quite similar to him?” Mia leaned in next to Maggie, scrutinizing as she spoke, with a hint of smugness in her expression.

“Stop it. My heart belongs only to Nathael.” Maggie firmly refused.

Mia retorted, “Just take a look. Why are you passing on such a great opportunity? You’ll be cursed by the heavens if you disappoint these handsomes.”

Maggie remained silent.

These men were nothing compared with Nathael.

“Look at the third one. Does he resemble Nathael?” Mia took a drag of her cigarette and spoke again.

Intrigued, Maggie carefully examined the men.

Surprisingly, the nose of one of them did bear a resemblance to Nathael’s. The man had a tall and straight nose, paired with a slightly aloof demeanor, which made him stand out among the others.

Maggie then turned to the others.

The first one was too old.

The second one was not bad looking but a little short. Anyway, he looked nothing like Nathael.

The fourth one bore no resemblance to Nathael either. He was a completely different type from him.

As for the fifth one, perhaps his mouth looked a little like Nathael’s.

Maggie wasn’t entirely convinced. She felt that even if there were occasional similarities, there was no comparison to the real deal. Nathael’s features were delicate and stern, like the carefully sculpted work of a top–tier craftsman. The combination of his features was a unique work of art.

Any part of him, if placed on someone else’s face, would always feel incomplete.

The most striking thing about Nathael was his demeanor. There was a sense of authority between his brows; it was decisive and efficient. His narrow eyes were like a vast, deep sea, profound and restrained, making it impossible for people to see through him.

After taking a glance, Maggie lost interest.

Perhaps because the men worked in nightclubs, their demeanor was completely different from Nathael’s. Theirs had a touch of caution and obedience, all for some change to pay the bills.

At this moment, on the second floor in a private booth, a group of ten or so men and women were chatting.

Sat in a dimly lit corner, Nathael was unable to see the stage below, but he didn’t care. With a cigarette in his mouth, he lazily leaned back in the corner.

stark contrast to his usual demeanor, he exuded a sense of nonchalance and debauchery. His beautiful eyes, shrouded in a pale mist, were alluring and seductive to the women present.

Under Changing light and shadows, the man’s handsome face was almost always covered in shadows,

the

giving off a cold and noble aura.

Nathael’s eyes were dark and troubled, with a hint of hostility in their depths.

Maggie hadn’t contacted him in a week. She had rejected his invitation to meet a week ago.

Thinking about this, Nathael lowered his gaze, suppressing the turmoil in his heart.

Has she grown tired?

Is she unable to keep up the act already?

I still don’t know her purpose. How could she just give up like that?

What a perfunctory and impatient woman!

“Nathael, our families are planning to

After all, her image had always been related to the Camerons‘ reputation, so naturally she would not indulge in such activities with Mia.

No matter what, flattering words would always make people feel happy, even though the speaker was only doing it for money. In fact, such a straightforward transaction made the whole process feel

uncomplicated.

Before long. Maggie laughed at a joke someone had made, and she was in a good mood.

Just then, her phone rang. After looking at the caller ID, Maggie was stunned for a few seconds, but she quickly got up and walked to a slightly quieter corner to answer the phone.

“Mr. Harris?” Maggie spoke softly. Since she had been busy with the Camerons‘ affairs recently, she hadn’t had time to meet Nathael.

“What are you doing?” Nathael spoke slowly in a low voice.

Maggie turned her head to look at the few young and handsome men at the table and felt a little guilty for no reason. She forced herself to say calmly, “I’m listening to music.”

Nathael remained silent. He was faintly able to hear the noisy music coming from the other end of the phone, and it sounded somewhat familiar….

Before Nathael could speak again, there was a burst of men arguing in the corridor; it was unpleasant and grating.

Maggie quickly covered the receiver.”

Unfortunately, the sound must have gone through no matter how fast she acted. Maggie could only hurriedly say, “Um… I’m not feeling well today. Let’s talk later.”

If Nathael found out she was fooling around here, her image would be ruined!

As Nathael listened to the busy tone on the phone, his eyes darkened. He absentmindedly turned hist phone in his hand, and nobody could tell what was on his mind.

Meanwhile, Jimmy held a glass of wine as he walked to the railing and looked down at the lively stage below. Right then, a woman came up to him and leaned against him while calling out, “Mr. Hansen…”

Jimmy glanced at her, and the woman felt a chill down her spine,

Jimmy was in a good mood today, so he ignored her. He then glanced up to see Maggie returning to her seat. He raised an eyebrow, his beautiful eyes revealing a hint of teasing as he looked straight ahead with an amused expression, as if he were waiting for a show. “Nathael, it seems someone is pining after your crush.”
