All at once, a deadly and threatening aura loomed over Chad, causing him to go pale in the face with shock.

Amidst this shock, he scrambled to raise his spiritual energy to the maximum, letting out a roar as he swung the sword in his grasp toward the sword aura.

A deafening explosion rang through the air.

Chad's long sword shattered from the collision, but Wilbur's sword aura hurtled past and struck him square in the chest.

Chad let out a cry of agony, blood spraying from his mouth as he was sent flying. He crashed against a wall heavily before sliding to the ground.

His chest was bloody, his head lolling about. It was unclear whether or not he was even conscious.

The room was dead silent. Everyone's jaws were on the ground, staring at Wilbur as if he was a ghost.

Wilbur smiled, casually walking over to Sawyer. "I must say, you're some kind of stupid for daring to bare your fangs at me."

The Rochers might be the top dog of Hemount City, but they were nothing to Wilbur.

Since Sawyer had dared to bare his fangs at Wilbur, Wilbur was going to have to punish the Rochers as well.

Wilbur lifted Sawyer into the air with a single hand, using the other hand to land multiple slaps against his face.

Sawyer was slapped into a daze, his gaze hazy as he looked around blearily.

"This is just a small little lesson. Call off your wedding with Sarah and leave the Neeses alone after this. If you try anything, I promise you that your entire family will vanish from Hemount City altogether."

Upon saying those words, Wilbur dumped Sawyer onto the ground.

Sawyer trembled all over as he landed. Upon returning to his senses, he ran for the hills without saying a single word.

"What's so great about a Sanctuary level cultivator, anyways?" Wilbur asked mildly.

Warner was positively fuming. "How many Sanctuary level cultivators in Dasha can you name? Your cockiness will be the death of us."

"You hit Sawyer and got the Nees family into great trouble. You'll need to take responsibility for that, and so you can't leave until you sort this whole thing out!" Warner shouted as well.

There was no way Wilbur would be any match for the Sanctuary level cultivator the Rochers had. Wilbur was staying and bearing the consequences of this terrifying incident. At least that was what Warner had in mind.

Wilbur smiled. "Sure. I'm here to fix your troubles, after all. I wasn't planning to leave before this got settled in the first place."

Warner waved a hand, and two guards strode over. "Take him away, and don't let him leave his room for a second. He'll have to take you both down to get out of here."

"Why don't we just call the police to arrest him, then wait for the Rochers' decision?" said Anthony Nees, Sarah's third uncle.
