Just then, however, Sarah said, "What the hell are you doing? Wilbur's here to help us, why are you treating him like this?"

"What kind of help do you call this, huh? He's pissed off the Rochers, and we'll be lucky to even get out of this alive! How are you still confused about this?" Warner asked, looking nothing but agonized.

Sarah retorted, "No, you're the one who's confused! He's a good fighter, and he can solve our money problems! What aren't you seeing?"

"How dare you!" Jenson shouted. "Do you really think he's going to be undefeatable with those laughable skills? The Rochers hold true power. This guy's no more than a scammer, which I see clearly as day even if you don't."

Warner and Anthony frowned as well.

Despite the fact that Wilbur had defeated Chad, the Rochers still had a Sanctuary level elite on their team.

None of the Neeses actually believed that Wilbur was dating Faye Yves either. There was no way help like this would just descend on them out of nowhere.

The Neeses had been through some tough times and did not believe that good things just came by so easily.

Sarah did not know what to say in response to all of this, and her resolve began to sway.

The rest of the Nees family glowered at Wilbur.

Wilbur hardly minded any of this, lying down on the bed and falling asleep.

The Neeses clearly did not believe a word he was saying, but that did not matter now. All of that would be settled once he handled the Rochers.

Over in the living room, the Neeses were still fraught with panic.

They were in even more trouble now, after all.

"What should we do, Warner?" said Jenson, looking at his older brother.

Warner sighed. "What can we do? I'll apologize to Seamus myself and explain to him that we have nothing to do with Wilbur. Let's just hope that the wedding can continue as planned, or our family's done for."

Jenson and Anthony sighed. "Let's hope so."
