"So?" asked the black-haired man. "What do you think?"

"Alright," Wilbur said after giving it some thought. "Let's do it. I'll kill the snow wolves, you'll sell their pelts. I think I should at least get your name, though."

"Oh, I completely forgot to introduce myself! How rude of me. The name's Saber Farring. What about yours?"

"Wally Yonder."

"Nice to meet you, Wally. I'm counting on you to get those wolfskins for us now."

"Of course. As long as you get the job done, we can keep working together."

Wilbur saw the sun beginning to rise outside and took out the three wolf pelts from earlier before handing them to Saber. "You can have these first, then."

"You said just now that one bronze coin could get you a bottle of wine, right? Please get me one of those, then. I'll be waiting here."

"Sure, sure. I'll get those pelts sold off right away."

The snow buried Wilbur's footprints, and he managed to find a cave deep in the mountains before Saber came back. Wilbur blocked the entrance of the cave with snow and got to meditating, trying to absorb the energy aura and then release it.

This time, Wilbur spent an entire month slowly adjusting his body to the energy aura of the middle dimensions. He could finally absorb it freely after that but was still restricted when it came to casting spells. He could not cast spells that would use up too much energy aura or it would lead to severe backlash all the same.

Despite only eating one large meal every few days throughout the month, all the meat from the three snow wolves was still polished off by the end of it. Wilbur could not focus on cultivating without any food to nourish him, so he had no choice but to leave the cave to go hunting.

It was snowing fiercely outside, and Wilbur looked around from the entrance of the cave. Not much had changed since a month ago. He stretched his arms, then blocked up the entrance of the cave with snow again before heading out to hunt for food.
