Unexpectedly, Angela's casual remarks left Logan at a loss for how to respond.

"Ms. Graham, you're too kind to the employees. Well then, let's head in. Oh, what an unfortunate coincidence—the CEO's personal elevator is out of service today, so we'll have to squeeze in with the other employees. I'm sure you won't mind, right?"

Logan put on a fake smile, his entire demeanor unwelcoming.

Angela's smile remained unchanged as she replied lightly, "Of course not, Mr. Chapman."

With that, she stepped into the company lobby first, and Logan quickly followed.

This was the time the elevators were used the most during the day.

Out of the ten elevators, six were out of order, leaving only four functioning. The waiting areas in front of them were packed, with employees glancing anxiously at their watches as they waited in frustration.

There were less than five minutes left before the 8:40 am clock-in time, yet all four elevators were full. It was enough to make anyone anxious.

Taking in the scene, Angela silently made a mental note of it.

Before she could say or do anything, Logan suddenly raised his voice and yelled, "Everyone, step aside! Let Ms. Graham go first!"

Angela was utterly speechless.

Logan was downright insidious. He was using her name to do every dirty trick while he stood back, enjoying the benefits.

Wasn't he just setting her up for criticism?

Sure enough, as soon as Logan spoke, all eyes turned toward Angela, their gazes carrying mixed emotions. Yet, almost instinctively, they took a few steps back, making way for her.

If she said nothing and simply accepted this privilege, casually stepping into an elevator while the rest anxiously waited.

Angela maintained her poised, friendly smile. "I'm Angela Graham. Starting today, I'll be working alongside all of you. Let's work together to make this company better and to give everyone here a better future."

The crowd was shocked.
