Fiona was completely unaware of the tense atmosphere in the hospital room.

She kept pulling things out of her bag—there was a whole large bag for Angela, but almost nothing for Dexter.

"Uh… Madam Fiona, aren't you here to visit the patient?" Angela shot Fiona a look, signaling her to comfort Dexter, but the latter didn't catch on at all.

"He doesn't need anything. Here, this handbag would also look great on you—"

"Get out." Dexter finally lost his patience. His voice was cold and laced with unspeakable frustration and helplessness.

Angela quickly ushered Fiona out of the room and explained the situation.

"Jeez, you're really something else! Did you do that on purpose?" Fiona eyed her suspiciously.

Angela put a hand up. "I swear I had no malicious intent. Maybe we really are just extremely incompatible."

For the next few days, Angela was extra cautious, afraid of offending the temperamental man again.

Luckily, since her attitude was fairly pleasant, Dexter's expression finally softened with a hint of a smile.

Seizing the moment while he was in a decent mood, Angela said, "Mr. Bamford, I might need to make a quick trip to the company. I won't be long."

Dexter's face darkened instantly. Their eyes met, and Angela forced an awkward smile as if she owed him a huge debt.

It had been three days, and Harvey still hadn't come to inspect Graham Group. It was making Angela increasingly anxious.

On top of that, since she hadn't been to the company much these past few days, Clara had just called to inform her that rumors were spreading—people were saying she wasn't fulfilling her responsibilities.

"Is the company really that important?" Dexter suddenly asked coldly.

There was no way Harvey had come on a whim. He was making a surprise visit to see how Graham Group was really doing.

Angela led him through the entire building, starting from the top floor and working their way down, visiting each department.

"Ms. Graham, your confidence is certainly well-founded. Graham Group is quite different from before," Harvey remarked with a half-smile.

He then added, "But aren't you worried? You've just taken over, yet you've already purged the top executives and changed long-standing company policies. Aren't you afraid of making enemies?"
