Chapter 35
“Angela, I’ve brewed your favorite coffee. Would you like to have some?” Cecilia’s voice was soft and warm, and her demeanor was that of an endearing young lady.
Angela knew Cecilia had something to say, so she replied, “I’ll skip the coffee. Just say what you need to say.”
The two descended the stairs together, looking no different from a pair of cousins–in–law engaged in casual conversation.
“Your patience amazes me, Angela. If Aunt Fiona treated me like that every day, I would’ve gone mad by now.” Cecilia sighed. Her expression was a mix of helplessness and sympathy. “If only there were a way to change things, you’d be able to live more comfortably. Don’t you agree?”
Angela nodded slightly as she subtly led Cecilia toward the nearby poplar trees.
She deliberately avoided the lawn, knowing Fiona might see them through the window and start feeling unnecessarily suspicious.
“Angela, you’ve always been so kind to me since you married Dexter. I know you’re a good person, and I truly want to help you.” Cecilia grasped Angela’s hand and looked at her earnestly.
“Do you have a solution, then?” Angela asked absentmindedly. Her mind was already on returning home to start her livestream.
“If my mom manages the household, she’ll have more authority. That way, if Aunt Fional targets you again, my mom can openly stand up for you. Don’t you think that would be better?” Cecilia finally broached the subject she had in mind.
Angela appeared to mull this over. “That makes sense, but the household is still under Grandma’s control. Even if Madam Ursula wants to take charge, she’d have to wait until Grandma passes.”
Cecilia leaned in and said in a lowered voice, “Don’t you know? Grandma’s health has been failing recently. She’s been in the hospital for nearly two months. Grandpa just didn’t tell us. He’s been managing everything himself, so there’s no telling who he might hand over the household to.”
“So you’re suggesting I talk to Grandpa and advocate for Madam Ursula?” Angela asked. bluntly.
Cecilia nodded. “It benefits everyone, Angela. My mom has helped manage the household before. She has experience.”
“I’ll think about it,” Angela replied with a faint smile, then bid Cecilia farewell.

Chapter 35
Cecilia was momentarily stunned. Frowning, she watched Angela’s figure grow distant. She was surprised–Angela really seemed different these past few days.
If this had been before, Angela would have agreed without hesitation. After all, everyone knew that she lived with hardly a shred of dignity under Fiona’s thumb.
Angela hailed a cab straight to Bliss Garden, brushing off Cecilia’s words without a second thought.
As she logged into her streaming account, she found countless messages waiting for her. Most were from fans wondering where she’d been and why she had disappeared.
Angela offered no explanation. Instead, she just set up her easel and began painting-
Today’s piece was titled “Masquerade Ball“.
Her painting style was highly realistic yet imbued with vibrant colors and striking contrasts. It created a surreal cinematic quality. This unique aesthetic was why her work resonated with so many people.
“What’s she painting today? It’s like she’s using her art to give us a glimpse of high society.
”
“Looks like another gala. Wow, this streamer must live such a glamorous life.”
“She’s a genuine high–society lady. We’re not even in the same league.”
Comments flooded the chat, but Angela remained focused on her work.
