Just then, a flurry of notifications started blaring from the screen. 

Someone had just sent her ten rockets. That was a donation worth around 100 thousand dollars on the streaming platform. 

Angela put down her paintbrush and glanced at the account that had sent her the gift. The username was “EternalStarlight“. It sounded quite artistic. 

“Shout out to EternalStarlight. Thank you,” Angela said with a soft smile. She had seen other streamers acknowledge big spenders this way. 

Meanwhile, at Bamford Manor, Zayn lounged on the couch, laughing heartily. 

Dexter cast him a side–eye, looking as though he was observing a lunatic. 

Zayn walked over to the bed. “Dexter, you’ve got to see this! My favorite streamer is live again. I just dropped over 100 grand on her, and she thanked me!” 

“If 100 grand doesn’t even get you a thank you, that money might as well be thrown away. Dexter couldn’t be bothered to respond. He gave the screen only a quick, sideways glance. 

But just that one glance made his expression change instantly. 

His immediate impulse was to call someone to drag Angela back to the manor and ban her from ever streaming again. 

He had never seen such an idiot who would give up being a proper lady of a wealthy family to go live stream and beg for attention. 

“This streamer is really talented,” Zayn muttered, oblivious to Dexter’s sour mood. “Her style really reminds me of Sue’s. I even messaged her asking for a meet–up, but she ignored me.” 

Dexter was stunned for a second. 

Zayn wasn’t the type to be easily impressed, yet he spoke about Angela with such high regard. Was she really that impressive? 

Dexter pulled out his phone and joined the livestream. 

The angle of the camera only showed Angela’s delicate, fair hands and the canvas she was working on. 

With swift strokes, she had already laid out the rough structure of her painting. Meanwhile, her viewers continued to send her gifts, vying for her attention. 

Dexter felt a twinge of discomfort.

Acting on impulse, he sent a grand prize gift but quickly realized it went unnoticed. Irritated, he followed up with a string of rockets. 

Finally, Angela noticed him. “Thank you, anonymous,” she said casually. 

Somehow, Dexter felt oddly satisfied. It had been a while since Angela had shown him any courtesy. This small gesture felt like a rare victory. 

By the end of the livestream, Angela had earned over 200 thousand dollars. She also managed to sell her painting for 100 thousand dollars through her online store. 

Checking her balance, she calculated that she had saved about 500 thousand dollars. Still, it wasn’t nearly enough to buy back her mom’s house. 

Even if she streamed daily for three months, she wouldn’t be able to bridge the gap. Her only real hope was the prize from the upcoming competition. 

That night, Dexter returned home. He actually seemed in good spirits. He didn’t even bring up Angela’s sudden departure from Bamford Manor earlier in the day. 

In the blink of an eye, two days had passed. 

The competition organizers announced that the awards ceremony would be held the following Monday. However, they didn’t disclose the list of winners, leaving participants to attend the event uncertain of their results. 

Angela woke early that day and arrived at the venue ahead of time. The room was bustling with activity as groups of contestants gathered to discuss the competition. 

Uninterested in small talk, Angela chose a quiet corner to focus on her own work. 

At that moment, a familiar female voice rang out, “Ms. Graham! What a coincidence!” 

Angela didn’t need to look up to recognize the speaker–Shelley, Elena’s ever–loyal sidekick.
