Simon silently observed Angela before him.

He seemed to glimpse traces of the helplessness she bore from her past in her gradually dimming eyes. 

“My apologies if I’ve offended you.” There was a hint of regret in his tone. 

Angela said, “Mr. Rutherford, I’m still me, am not?” 

The truth was, she had changed. 

Her teacher wouldn’t have revoked her title or severed ties with her if she hadn’t. 

She wouldn’t have lost three precious years to slowly get herself together if she hadn’t. 

Simon pursed his lips as a knowing smile briefly crossed his face. “My colleagues and I greatly admire your talent, Ms. Graham. We’d love for you to join WestJet Design. Would you be interested?” he asked. 

Angela couldn’t help but feel surprised as the blood in her veins suddenly surged with intensity. 

WestJet Design was one of the most prestigious luxury companies in the world. Their handbags, clothes, and accessories were the epitome of high fashion. 

It would be the crowning achievement in any designer’s career to work with them. 

“To be honest, I’m incredibly tempted.” Her cheeks flushed slightly after a moment of silence. “But I’ve only been working at DawnStar for two months. They were the ones who extended a hand to me during my toughest times. I can’t just leave now, I’m sorry.” 

Simon was momentarily taken aback. He was not expecting her to turn them down for this 

reason. 

After all, countless people dreamed of gaining experience or prestige at WestJet Design 

every year. 

“Ms. Graham, you’re genuine and principled. It seems we were right about you,” Simon said with a wider smile and clapped his hands. 

Angela was slightly stunned before she saw someone walk into the private room. 

“Mr. Snowden?” She was even more suspicious now. 

“I’ve been worrying outside for quite a while. I was afraid that Mr. Rutherford might steal you away,” Callum said as he strode in confidently. His commanding presence made it clear that he was the true leader of DawnStar. 

“Ms. Graham, you’re a grateful person. Callum, you’d better treasure her.” Simon shook

A photographer was then called in to take a group photo of the three of them. 

Angela was surprisingly placed in the center, taking the spotlight.

Simon’s secretary uploaded the photo to WestJet Design’s official social media as soon as it was taken. 

Meanwhile, WestJet Design’s project team extended a formal collaboration proposal to DawnStar. 

The dinner ended on a high note with a lively and pleasant conversation among the group. Angela was slightly tipsy from the wine by the end of the night. She walked out unsteadily. Callum offered to drive her home. Dexter suddenly appeared outside of the private room before she could respond. 

“Mr. Bamford? I didn’t expect you to be here.” Callum smiled faintly and looked at Dexter. “Are you here to check up on your wife because you’re worried that she would be stolen?” 

Angela was stunned. She didn’t expect him to make a joke like this. 

Wasn’t he usually stoic and serious? 

“Come with me.” Dexter ignored Callum. He grabbed Angela’s wrist and started walking off without another word. 

The rest hurriedly offered their goodbyes to Callum before following Dexter out in haste. 

“What are you doing? What’s so urgent that you had to drag me away like this?” Angela shook off his hand forcefully once they were away from the crowd and rubbed her wrist which ached from his grip.
