“Your Holiness, you’re as sharp as ever! You understand people better than 1 

do!” Rhett admitted, genuinely impressed. 

Mackenzie gave a slight smile as she watched the Blade Battalion claim a 

sweeping victory. The sight filled her with a deep sense of satisfaction. 

How fortunate Emmanuel is to have friends and subordinates like them! 

“Hahaha! You bunch of fools! Did you really think you could just waltz in here 

and steal our goods? There’s a phrase for this–walking right into a trap!” 

Quintus roared with laughter, tossing two more bandits to the ground with 

ease. 

At the back of the bandit group, their leader, known for always hanging back 

to manage the situation, realized the tide had turned against them. He didn’t 

want to abandon his men and run, knowing that if they were captured and 

sent to prison, he’d be left with nothing. His gang would crumble, and he’d 

have no future.

When he caught sight of Mackenzie in the moonlight, a plan formed in his 

mind. If he could just take her hostage, he might still have a chance. 

It surprised him that such a large force would have a woman as its 

backbone. 

Just as the leader was about to lunge at Mackenzie, he suddenly found 

himself suspended in mid–air, completely immobilized. 

Rhett had lifted him effortlessly with one hand. 

Panic surged through the bandit leader.

Though a martial artist himself, he wasn’t skilled enough to even come close 

to Rhett’s overwhelming strength. He realized in an instant that even if he had 

a hundred men with him, they wouldn’t stand a chance against this one man. 

“No wonder you’re so bold. You knew exactly how to bait us with those 

supplies… You all are too clever!” 

The bandit leader in the felt hat looked up at Mackenzie as if she were a

queen bathed in moonlight. 

Hearing the commotion, Anthony and the others poked their heads out of the 

wagons. Seeing Mackenzie’s team secure a total victory, with even the bandit 

leader restrained by Rhett, they couldn’t help but marvel at her authority. 

The noise caught the attention of Anthony Quail and the others, who peered 

out from their wagons. When they saw that Mackenzie’s forces had 

completely routed the bandits and that their leader was firmly in Rhett’s grip, 

they could only marvel at the sight. 

The Chairman of the Nuthana Chamber of Commerce truly is like a queen, 

commanding everything with ease! 

“What’s your name? Who are you? Are you the one leading the charge to 

steal these vital supplies?” Mackenzie asked coldly, her gaze as sharp as a 

knife. 

“M–My name is Isaias Bradford from Silvergate. I’m from Silvergate, and yes, I 

led the raid to take these supplies bound for Riverhaven!”

Isaias gritted his teeth, showing some loyalty to his men. “I’ll take 

responsibility for what we did. Let my men go, and I’ll go with you and serve 

my time.” 

“Hahaha!” 

Quintus burst into laughter. “Typical bandit logic! Do you think you can take 

the fall for all of them? Are you here to make us laugh?” 

Mackenzie didn’t laugh, though. She could tell from the bandit leader’s eyes 

that he truly didn’t understand the law. 

Of course, if he had any respect for the law, he wouldn’t have done this in the 

first place. 

“Isaias Bradford, do you realize your actions could cost thousands of disaster 

victims their lives? Where’s your conscience?” Mackenzie asked coldly. 

“Conscience? Can a conscience fill our stomachs?” 

The leader sneered. “We’re starving in the West End. People die of hunger

every year. Do the rich in Nuthana, Eldoria, or the Northern ever spare a

thought for us? My parents starved to death because of poverty! If someone 

has to die, it won’t be me or my men!” 

“You sound like you’ve got a point, but it’s all twisted logic!” 

Mackenzie retorted, “People work hard and earn their money legally, and how 

they spend it is their business. But when you steal critical supplies meant to 

save lives, that’s a crime. You deserve whatever punishment comes your 

way!” 

“Hmph! I’m in your hands now, do whatever you want.” 

The leader turned his head, but not without a warning. “But I’ll tell you this- 

you may have bested us, but we serve the Five Poison Sect. If anything 

happens to us, they won’t let you go.” 

“Oh, really?” 

Quintus chuckled. “You steal supplies meant for the taxpayers and then turn

around and pay tribute to some lowlife sect? What are you? Their lapdogs?” 

“Say what you will.” 

The leader smirked. “You’re a skilled martial artist and well–equipped, but the 

Five Poison Sect has plenty of experts too. They have a hundred ways to 

make sure you don’t leave this alive. Don’t believe me? Try your luck!” 

At those words, Anthony and the others turned pale. Some even urged 

Mackenzie to reconsider. 

“Tie them up and hand them over to the authorities!” 

Mackenzie commanded Quintus without hesitation. 

“On it!” 

He immediately carried out her command. 

Mackenzie then turned to Anthony. “As we discussed, we’re here to take down 

the Five Poison Sect and restore peace to the merchants in the West End.”

Anthony sighed and nodded. “I know. I’m just afraid that even you might not 

be able to defeat them, Ms. Quillen. If that happens, well all be dragged into 

the mess.” 

“With that kind of cowardice, you don’t deserve to be a chairman. You might 

as well go home and farm!” 

Mackenzie, clearly irritated, snapped back at him before getting into her car 

Anthony was left speechless, and with no other choice, he and his men 

followed her in a hurry. 

After dealing with the bandits, Mackenzie wasted no time. After all, countless 

disaster victims were waiting for the supplies to save their lives. She 

instructed Quintus to tie up the bandits and leave them there for the police 

to handle, and they pressed on toward Riverhaven. 

After two long days and nights of travel, by the third day, the supplies finally 

reached the hardest–hit disaster area. 

Cheers erupted from the crowd of survivors.
