Ludwik's dark eyes sparkled with a mix of excitement and apprehension as he stood by the floor-to-ceiling window. "The more she acts like this, the more dangerous it is. She might have already had a falling out with Bryce.

Whitney, you need to go back right away. I have a hunch she's at Inko Group...

If I take you there, we might just find your mom."

Whitney's heart thudded in her chest. She hung up the call and rushed next door to find her uncle, Keegan Tennyson. "Uncle, I don't think Mom's in Banyan City anymore. Ludwik got a strange call from Inko Group earlier, and he thinks it might have been someone Mom sent! We need to head back."

"What?" Keegan was bewildered by the whirlwind of information. "You mean your mom went to Inko Group? But how would she be in touch with Ludwik? She doesn't even know him..."

"I don't know either, but Ludwik went to Germinia before, and with Florence always out to get him, she must have spread some lies about him. If Mom's looking for Ludwik now, it might actually be a good thing!"

Keegan didn't quite grasp everything but let his niece wheel him along.

Whitney, anxious and eager to head home, knew everything would become clearer once they reached Emperor City and made their way to Inko Group.

After an all-night marathon meeting, the board members of Inko Group were exhausted. In stark contrast, Parisa's brisk and decisive work ethic was impressive.

A few board members exchanged glances, amazed at her efficiency. "She's the one in charge at Inko headquarters, alright," one of them muttered under their breath. Her dedication and speed outshone even Phineas.

"Uh, Ms. Tennyson," one of the older board members stood up, clearly worn out, "it's past ten already, and we've been at it all night. We should take a break, or us old folks won't last much longer."
