As soon as Whitney got back from Banyan City, she didn't waste a moment before heading straight to the Lippert Group.

Ludwik had just wrapped up a meeting about a new project and had called Felix over. With his intense eyes fixed on his work phone, he asked, "Did you follow up with the Inko Group yesterday and clarify my position? Did they give any response?"

Felix sighed, clearly frustrated. "No, they just hung up. I have no idea who answered, not even sure if it was the same guy who called us."

Ludwik tapped his long fingers on the table, eyes narrowing as he was about to make a decision,

when Whitney burst into the room. "Ludwik! I'm back! So, when does my mom want to meet you? Are we meeting at Inko Group? Let's go there!"

"Whitney..." Ludwik's deep-set eyes softened as he rose to his full height. Seeing her flushed face and tousled hair, he walked over, gently patting her slender back. "Take it easy."

He tried to reassure her, though his brows furrowed with concern. "After I agreed to meet, your mom cut off contact. She hasn't called me since."

"What? What's going on?"

Ludwik paused thoughtfully, respecting her request with a nod. He personally drove Whitney to the Sheldon Group, where Hudson, having recovered recently, had resumed his role at the helm.

As Whitney dashed into the company, Ludwik got a call back from Parker. "Ludwik, I'm at the hospital. My uncle's wife says he's showing signs of waking up, so I need to stay close. Felix said you needed me? Oh, by the way, I have some news for you! An Inko Group shareholder complained to me that the mysterious person from the main group visited the company, had meetings all night, and even asked about me. Ludwik, did Whitney confirm in Banyan City if it's really her mom?"

"It is," Ludwik replied, his voice steely and cold. "Whitney’s mom tried reaching out to me but then went silent. If she's asking about you, that's perfect. Parker, use that as a reason to get into Inko Group. The shareholders won’t dare stop you. Whitney, her dad, and I will be there shortly!"
