Quinton sneered when he saw the large stack of documents by Irvin’s hand.

“Look at yourself, Irvin. Not only are you allowing your hard–earned money to be spent on another man, but now you’re even slaving away to support that man’s family! Since when did you become such a benevolent lover

Irvin didn’t say anything as he stared at the photos. However, the pen in his right hand was about to snap from how tightly he was gripping it.

He had a rebellious nature, so he had never been submissive or tolerant. However, he no longer had the choice or right to behave that way anymore. Thus, he could only endure until I regained my memories.

“I know you feel guilty because she had been gravely injured. I’m also aware you’re trying to make things up to her because of it, but do you really have to go about it this way? Are you really going to just watch her love another man and be happy with him?

“All the money you’re earning now is going toward supporting her life with another man. What happens when they have a child together? Are you still going to keep this up?” Quinton questioned.

Irvin still didn’t speak, but the pen in his hand snapped in half.

Quinton continued, “I know you have no chance of winning Emilia back right now because of how resolute she is. Since this is the case, why don’t you just let her go?”

Then, he huffed and said, “And I still think you shouldn’t have given her all your money, Irvin. In doing so, you gave her wings that allowed her to fly away from you. Instead, I think you should’ve clipped her wings so she would be forced to stay by your side!

“Time heals all wounds, after all! So, just because Emilia doesn’t forgive you now, it doesn’t mean she won’t in the future. The day she forgives you would have eventually come if you had kept her by your side.”

He exasperatedly exclaimed, “But you went and let her fly away from you! And now, she’s spending time with another man. Because of this, that day may never come. She may never forgive you, ever!”

Then, he added, “Think about it, Irvin. Can you really watch her be with another man in the future? Can you really stand back and watch as she marries someone else and gives birth to his child? Are you sure you’ll be able to allow another man to sleep with her?” (1)

Quinton painted vivid pictures with every word he said. Each of them was a situation that Irvin feared the most. They were things he couldn’t bear nor allow to happen.

Irvin’s hands were so tightly clenched that his veins were bulging terribly.

“You know it’s not too late yet, Irvin. You can still salvage things if you ruin the company and seize it back,” Quinton suggested.

He continued, “Don’t wait until Emilia falls in love with another man because you will have lost everything by then! Clip her wings and force her to stay by your side! I know that’s what you really want, Irvin!”

He knew Irvin well, so he was aware that Irvin had a madness buried in him. He also believed Irvin shouldn’t suppress it and should instead unleash the beast within his heart. He thought Irvin should be coercing me to love him instead of letting me go.

Irvin had been watching how close I was behaving with Noah these past few days. Because of this, he indeed felt a beast had emerged within himself.
