Deciding to test the waters, he cautiously said, “What’s done is done, Irvin. There’s no point dwelling on it. You and Grace are going to spend the rest of your lives together as husband and wife his is just the start of your happiness.”

“I understand, Magnus,” Irvin replied coolly.

In the past, Magnus had always been able to tell what Irvin was thinking. Yet now, no matter how hard Magnus studied him, he couldn’t decipher his true thoughts at all.

Hence, he didn’t know if Irvin had genuinely given up on his relationship with me. He couldn’t tell if Irvin had decided to move on and be Grace’s husband or if something else was going on.

However, knowing that Irvin hadn’t eaten for over a day, Magnus didn’t press further. He simply told Irvin to come to the study after he finished eating. Then, he turned and left.

Irvin’s cold gaze grew icier as he watched Magnus go. It hadn’t taken him long to figure out that Magnus wanted him to have a relationship with Grace. That was why Magnus had arranged for her to attend the bidding event with him.

He recalled the sincere conversation he had once had with Magnus. He had told Magnus he was willing to be whatever kind of heir Magnus wanted. He had also told Magnus he would sacrifice anything his father wanted for.the Hardwells.

Irvin’s only condition was that I was to be his only wife. At the time, Magnus had promised him that. As such, he had thought Magnus was the only person in this family who had some genuine familial affection for him.

Yet, Magnus had pulled something like this behind Irvin’s back–which only made his actions that much worse.

A single thought consumed Irvin’s mind.

The Hardwells could all die. Everyone in this family could drop dead! They had destroyed the only thing he cared most about. Since they had taken away his reason for living, they could all go to hell!

Irvin was radiating an energy so dark and savage that it made Agatha and Grace, who had yet to leave the room, involuntarily

shudder.

They had always held themselves in high esteem and had never once taken him seriously. To Agatha and Grace, Irvin was just a child who had been raised in a humble household outside of the family. So, even though he had some talent in business, that was all he had.

So, when it came to cunning schemes, Agatha and Grace believed he was no match for them. They had assumed he would surely walk the path they had plotted for him.

Yet now, as they stared at his full head of white hair and felt the intense killing intent he was emanating, Agatha and Grace finally realized they had gravely underestimated Irvin. For all they knew, he would drag them into the abyss in the blink of an

eye.

They soon returned to Agatha’s room, and she was lost in thought for quite some time.

Then, as if having made up her mind, she declared, “Grace, once your child is born, let’s arrange an ‘accident‘ for that waste of space. Don’t wait until the child has grown up. That fiend has such a vengeful heart. So, if we’re not careful, he might end up

making our lives a living hell!”

Even now, Agatha refused to say Irvin’s name because of the previous disrespect he had shown her. Whenever she spoke of him in private, she would speak of him as though he wasn’t human.

Once her grandchild was born, Agatha had originally planned to eliminate Irvin from the Hardwell family via an “accident“. But now, after sensing his ruthlessness, she felt they wouldn’t have any chance of survival if they allowed Irvin to take control of the family.
