“Despicable?” 

Dominick looked a bit wronged. It was a bit cute to see the normally aloof man look so hurt. 

But Lola was just angry. “Yes! Very despicable!

Dominick was slightly taken aback, a hint of amusement in his eyes. She really was always so sharp–tongued. 

But she used to be more polite to him, keeping a certain distance between them. 

Compared to the polite, almost stranger–like interactions, Dominick preferred things like this. 

At least Lola finally showed some emotions toward him. Even though they weren’t positive emotions, Dominick had enough patience to take it slowly. 

“Your sharp tongue is really something,” Dominick said with a tone filled with affection. 

Lola couldn’t stand Dominick treating her like this. She frowned impatiently, “Mr. Sinclair, what do you need? 

“I have a lot to do, so please get to the point. And I think we should only discuss work matters. We need to avoid any misunderstandings.” 

Lola said this on purpose, wanting to remind Dominick with every word that she was a married woman and he shouldn’t think too much. 

Dominick saw right through Lola’s intention but didn’t get angry.

Lola’s frown deepened. “Mr. Sinclair, I haven’t agreed to this. Why are you deciding for me? I don’t agree!” 

Dominick stood up without answering Lola’s question and walked toward the hidden door in his office. 

Lola was furious, chasing after Dominick. “Mr. Sinclair, this is too much! 

“I won’t go to the party with you. That’s not the kind of place we should be seen together. We’re not related in any way. People will misunderstand!” 

Dominick suddenly stopped, turned around, and raised an eyebrow at Lola. 

“Still following me?” 

Lola was frustrated. Dominick kept/changing the subject and never faced the issue directly!
