Although carrying a baby for ten months was tough on her, he didn’t have it any easier. 

Amid the sound of Hayden showering, Keira called Lena. “Don’t act impulsively. Besides, Ron is a decent guy; don’t hurt him.” 

“Rea, whose friend are you?” Lena protested indignantly. “I haven’t done anything yet, and you’re already afraid I’ll hurt him. Why don’t you worry about me falling for him instead?” 

Keira remembered what Hayden had said. “You know who you have feelings for, even if you won’t admit it. The rest of us can see it clearly. You won’t fall for Ron.” 

“Don’t you know I’m heartless? If I say I don’t love, then I don’t love,” Lena retorted without hesitation, never shy about ruining her own image. 

“Lena…” 

“Don’t try to convince me. I’ve made up my mind, unless Ron says no,” Lena declared firmly. 

“And if he doesn’t agree?” Keira asked. 

She chuckled lightly. “There aren’t any three–legged toads in this world, but there’s no shortage of two–legged men. If he doesn’t agree, I’ll go on blind dates and find another guy.” 

“Alright, I won’t talk to you about it anymore. I need to pack,” Lena said before hanging up. 

Thinking about her resolve to make Aaron give up, Keira had no choice but to call Ron. After hearing what she had to say, he laughed. “Really? That’s such a good deal!” 

Keira was speechless. He actually sounded like he’d just won the lottery. 

“Alright, I’m single anyway. Let’s give it a shot. I’ll do my best to make this real,” Ron agreed enthusiastically. 

“President Shane, I’m serious. This isn’t a joke,” Keira reminded him. 

“I’m serious too. Don’t worry about it. Just send me her Whatsapp. I’ll message her right now, ” he replied cheerfully.

These two were truly a match made in heaven. 

Lena quickly packed her luggage, determined to leave before Aaron returned and avoid running into him. But just as she finished packing, the doorbell rang. She froze, her heart skipping a beat, but then she realized it couldn’t be him. If Aaron had returned, he wouldn’t be ringing the doorbell. 

Assuming it was the cleaning lady, she opened the door without much thought. Moments later, she heard footsteps climbing the stairs, accompanied by a familiar voice. “Aaron?”

In a panic, Lena tried to hide her luggage, but it was too late. Briana had already spotted it through the open bedroom door. “Lena, you’re here? Where’s your uncle?” 

Lena turned to face her mother. “He’s not back yet.” 

Briana’s eyes swept over the luggage and the half–packed clothes. “What’s all this?”
