Adeena nodded. “Thank you, Mr. Winters.”

Duke turned around and opened the door of the wardrobe.

Adeena was stunned for a moment.

The whole wardrobe was filled with women’s clothing.

The clothes in this wardrobe should be the clothes of the matriarch of this mansion, since it was in the master bedroom.

The matriarch had been missing for four years, yet everything of hers was still kept in the

room.

“The clothes here belonged to your wife, don’t they? Mr. Winters, I’d rather not cause any trouble.” Adeena smiled. “I’ll go buy some clothes at the mall.”

Duke understood what Adeena was thinking.

Even though these were clothes she had worn before, he had no idea how to explain it to her. “There are some new clothes in Harold’s room. I’ll bring one for you.”

He turned around and went to the next room. He picked out a loose, casual dress and brought it over.

“Thank you,” Adeena said softly.

“You’d better take a shower,” Duke suggested, “The smell of the chicken soup is a little strong.”

Adeena did not know what to say.

She sniffed herself, and indeed, the chicken soup aroma was overwhelming.

She walked into the bathroom and locked the door twice before she took off her clothes and showered.
