Chapter 85

Alden secretly thought, ‘Oh, no.’ Duke was very special to his sister. Whenever she saw Duke, she would be automatically drawn to him.

He had made a mistake this time.

He quickly ran after Melody and instantly grabbed her arm.

“Mel, don’t run. Mom’s going to be worried.” Alden gently coaxed her. “Mom’s not well. If she’s worried about you, she won’t recover.”

Melody finally stopped running.

She walked up to the handrail in the hospital’s corridor and looked downstairs. She only looked away after Duke’s figure disappeared.

Alden looked down and clenched his fists tightly.

Duke Winters was very likely their father.

However, that man had made two women pregnant at the same time, so he was not qualified to be their father.

If his sister acknowledged Duke as her father, she could possibly be hurt once again. He did not want his mother and sister to get hurt.

He was a man. He would grow up soon, and he would take care of the family on his own.

After Adina received the infusion, she felt much better, but she was still quite dizzy. So, she decided to be discharged tomorrow.

Adina took the documents and casually glanced at them.

The information was very detailed. Even the customers’ favorite colors and where they enjoyed their leisure time had been uncovered. One could say that having this name list meant she had a 50% leverage over Daugherty Corporation. She sincerely said, “Thank you.”

“What? You don’t have to say thank you.” Flint casually waved his hand in dismissal before he flashed her a naughty smile. “But if you really want to thank me, why don’t you… marry me?” The light feeling of warmth that filled Adina’s heart instantly disappeared, and she glanced at him in annoyance. “Do you want to be punched?” Flint scowled. “I’m just kidding. You don’t think I’m being serious, do you?” Adina was at a loss for words.

If Mel had not accepted Flint, she would have kicked this man out of Sea City. At 8.00 am the next day, Flint brought the two kids to preschool while Adina got herself discharged from the hospital.
