They ate in silence. Orabelle was the first to leave the kitchen. Meanwhile, Haestus contemplated what could be done to reach to Kiara as soon as possible while he ate. After finishing breakfast, he left for work.

He dispatched another group of men to look for Kiara. He was not going to stand Orabelle being cold to him more.

On the other hand, Orabelle stayed in her room and thought about her situation. Along with concern for Kiara, the thoughts about the future haunted her. If things went wrong then how was she supposed to leave this place and leave him?

She didn't know how long she had been staring out of the huge window in her room. Suddenly, she wanted to go outside. She wanted to have a look at the place. The captivity wasn't making her feel very good. She sighed before she moved away from the window and went to the bathroom to get a hot bath.

It took her some while to bathe. It had been days, no, scratch that, months ever since she had had a good bath. She found aromatic soaps in the bathroom which she used to bathe. She washed her hair.

When she stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body, she was feeling better and fresh. Her mood had changed. She felt like going out and exploring the place. She knew that Haestus had already left for work and she was alone in the wing.

She looked at the dresses that have been bought to her last night. They were very beautiful. There were all kinds of dresses with the softest fabric. She took her time as she looked at the dresses and admired their beauty.

There was some jewelry too. She examined them as well. Earrings, pendants, necklaces, rings, bracelets... she liked everything.

It was finally time for her to get dressed. She chose a dark blue dress. She liked it the most. She wore the dress with a crescent moon pendant. After drying her hair, she put it into a bun but left some of her hair strands to linger around her face.

When she was finished, she looked very beautiful. She hadn't looked so beautiful in a long time. She was so awed by her own beauty that she was left standing in front of the mirror, looking at herself. With a final look, she decided to leave.

After stepping out of her room, she decided to have a look at his wing. She took her time as she walked through all the corridors and opened all the doors to look at what was behind them. She found his room too. It had been the room where she woke up first.

Curiosity had her steering inside his room to look at it properly. There was a big seating room before entering his bedroom. There hung several pictures of different people. There was also a small bookshelf. She took her time as she read the names of the books. Most of them were in a language she didn't understand.

She entered his bedroom next. Her eyes fell on his well-made bed the first thing. It seemed like he didn't sleep all night. She sat on its edge as she studied his room properly. After some moments, she chose to finally move to other parts of his wing.

After his bedroom, she found his office. He had shown it to her the first time. It was on the way to the kitchen. She entered the place quietly. Either side of the room was lined with big bookshelves stacked with numerous books while the opposite end of the room had big windows that overlooked the whole Zaeris.

In the center of the room sat a big table with a big chair. The table was flooded with papers and books. She slowly looked around the room. There were some extra books that were stacked by the window. She was surprised to find that all those books were about witches.

She took a while to look through them. He must have had worked really hard to get to her- she thought. She picked the books that interested her and decided to take them to her room to read for the night.

When she had gone to her room to keep the books, Haestus came back to his wing to get some important papers for Arles. As soon as he entered his office, he was met with her scent. He knew instantly that she had been here a while ago. He looked around his office to look if she took anything from there. Instantly, he spotted the missing books from the stack that sat near the window. His lips unwarrantedly curled up into a smile.

While he got busy to search the papers he needed to take to Arles, Orabelle decided that it was time to venture outside his wing. She knew that the door might have been locked but being a witch, she knew spells that could open portals to other dimensions. Opening a simple door was not a very big deal for her.

With a determined smile she went towards the humongous door that sat between her and the way out of his wing. She was buzzing with excitement. As she stood before the door, she saw a lot of symbols inscribed on them. She bought her hand up to touch them.

A gasp left her mouth when she found the door already open. She was perplexed for a moment. Didn't he lock the door when he left? Whatever it was, she wasn't complaining. She would not need to use her spells anymore.

She opened the door further apart and peered outside to find a big corridor. It didn't take her long to wonder where the corridor would lead her to. She couldn't wait to find out.

She was about to step outside when a thundering growl from behind sent a shiver down her spine. She looked over her shoulder to find Haestus standing in the hallway inside the wing, looking both angry and bewildered.

She now understood why the door had been open. He had come in while she was in her room. He must have been in a hurry to have forgotten to lock the door.

She looked into his dark blue eyes. They were simmering with rage, daring her to step outside the doors. Orabelle felt a tinge of fear which was soon washed away by the strange assurance by the small voice in her that told her that he wouldn't hurt her if she went against him.

Suddenly, an idea struck her. He had taunted her in the morning with his bare body. It was now her turn to do the same. She bit her bottom lip and gave him a sly smile before she pushed the door open more and stepped out.

She squealed when she heard another growl. She was ready to run and give him a good chase. She held the long skirt of her dress and almost dashed towards the long corridor that called for her and her curiosity but amidst all this, she had forgotten that Haestus was a werewolf. He was gifted with inhuman speed and powers.

Before she could run any further, she felt him behind her, wrapping his strong, bulky arm around her waist possessively. She peered over her shoulder to see a mixture of anger and fear decorated over his face. He looked like she gave him a fright.

She broke off into a laughing hysteria while he tried to drag her back to the wing. He lowly growled into her ear. Her heart fluttered in her chest before she felt the butterflies in her stomach.

"Were you trying to run away?" He growled lowly in her ear and she kept laughing. Suddenly, footsteps echoed in the corridor. Someone seemed to be coming their way. She saw Haestus straighten up before she felt the floor under her feet disappearing. He had picked her up before he took her inside the doors. He quickly placed her on her feet before he was on the other side of the door, closing it behind him.

She ran up to the door to stop him from closing it but the door shut abruptly on her face, making her stumble back. She heard someone speaking to him outside which could mean they had been almost caught.

Outside, the door Haestus was unexpectedly met with Nefret.
