Anna's heart sunk. She shook her head no.

"Good. So just hand over the baby to Antonio and me and we'll take care of him or her and you can move on with your pathetic life. Right Antonio?" She turned to Antonio.

"I don't understand why you'd want the baby." Antonio was puzzled. He was expecting Melissa to put Anna out the house or threw the wedding ring at him and call it quits.

"Because I can't have babies!" Melissa yelled with anger.

Anna and Antonio were both shocked.

Anna's POV

"You want my baby? You want to raise my baby without me because you can't have kids?" I asked to Melissa.

"You've been sleeping with my man behind my back in the house that we share together! Giving me the baby is the least you could do! And like I've said, you don't have what it takes to raise a child."

"I can't just give up my baby like that to you people. I don't even know you!" I defended.

"But you know Antonio." She pointed to Antonio who was still silent and motionless. "You've been sleeping with him, remember?"

I slowly moved towards the door but Melissa grabbed me by the arm and pulled me back to the middle of the room.

"You're not going anywhere until I have an answer. You either give up the baby to us or I swear, I'll make your life a worse hell than it already is. Do you understand me?"

I nodded my head yes.

"Good. Tomorrow, you'll be signing a contract and signing over all of your rights."

The next morning, I met Antonio in the kitchen. He was preparing coffee for himself.

"Good morning." I said.

"Morning."

"You're not leaving for your honeymoon?" I asked.

"That's not any of your business. Tell me something Anna, is it so difficult to mind your own business and stay out of my way?" He took a sip of his coffee and left the kitchen.

I made myself a cup of lemon tea and thought about giving up the baby for good. Once I sign off my rights, I wouldn't have any say in the child's life nor would I even get to see the child.

I knew what I did was wrong and I've put myself in this mess but something good came out from it. A baby.

And signing over my parental rights, that child would get to live a life I had never lived. I also trust that Melissa would take good care of him or her since she can't have kids.

"Hello." A cheerful voice greeted me. It was Melissa and standing next to her, was a well groomed gentleman in a sharp suit. His grey eyes were icy but deep in them, there were sparkles.

"This is my lawyer and he's a married man so don't even think about it. He has come here to explain the contract and the signing."

The lawyer shuffled through his briefcase and pulled out any document.

"If Miss. Wells is to deny the truth and not comply with the contract, a DNA would be issued when the baby is born. If indeed proven that Mr. Antonio Kissle is the father, the baby would be taken away from her, she would be put out the mansion and no money would be wired to her account. Either way, you'll lose."

"This isn't fair! So I don't have any say in this? This is my child, not hers. I'm not going to let her do this to me. I don't care if I'll have to break down every court house in this state, I'm not ready to sign over my rights so soon."

The lawyer placed everything back into his case, stood up and left the kitchen.

My tea had now gotten cold but I drank it anyways.

After five minutes, Melissa came into the kitchen.

"You're not signing the contract? Do you think I'm playing games with you Anna?"

"Please listen to me Melissa, I'm sorry for what I did, really I am. But why does it have to go to this extreme length? Handing him or her over is already hard but how am I to bare that I wouldn't be able to see my own child ever again?

What are you going to tell him or her when they've found out that you're not actually their mother?"

Melissa raked her fingers through her hair. "Do you really want me to feel sorry for you and pity you?

You were sleeping with my husband! That child doesn't have to know you and he or her doesn't have to know the truth either. You're to sign that bloody contract or so help me God; I'll wipe you all over this kitchen!"
