LUNA
"Luna, I'll just be going to the comfort room, okay? Let's just meet at the ice cream parlour after you pay." Camille explained to me.
I nodded. "All right."
Camille accompanied me here to the mall to buy new clothes for pregnant women. My pants don't fit anymore because my hips are growing. I approached the cashier with arms wrapped around my waist.
"I thought—" My beautiful smile melted as Dylan's face opened up to me.
"Hi." He simply greeted me with a sweet smile on his lips.
I got away from him. "W-What are you doing here? Are you following me?"
"Yes. Is it wrong to follow the person I love?" He tilted his head on the other side.
I smirked at him. "Go home. I'm with Camille so I don't need you."
"I'm your husband, Luna. I'm the one who should be with you when—"
"You talk as if you didn’t deny my existence before, Damn it!” I snapped. I rolled up the basket and placed my purchases on the counter.
I was about to hand over my credit card when Dylan got ahead of me. I glared at him. "It's my dress, so I'm the one who should be paying it."
"Luna, let's not argue anymore." He begged.
To my annoyance I turned my back on him, I left him the clothes I bought. I walked to the clothing stalls again and I picked up clothes that were the same as the one Dylan had paid for.
"What are you doing?" Dylan asked as I passed him. He was already carrying the paper bags that I had bought earlier.
I didn’t speak and just skipped him. I stopped when he grabbed my hand.
"Luna, let me make it all up to you. Come back to me." He said in a sad tone. I felt his warm palm on my hand.
"Want me to come back? You hurt me so badly, Dylan. I'm not a fool to run towards you again after you told me hurtful words." I said emphatically and lifted my hand he was holding.
"You don't have to run, because I'll crawl closer to you." Shit.
"That’s what you’re good at. to your empty words.”
I put the clothes I hadn’t paid aside and walked out of the shop. I walked over to what Camille referred to as the ice cream parlour. I caught her drinking pineapple juice. I slowly sat down in the chair in front of her.
She raised an eyebrow. "Why is your face frowning? Are you kidding me?"
"Whatever." I teased her.
"Ah. I know. You saw dog poop."
My forehead furrowed. She snorted as she looked behind me. I turned around and saw Dylan approaching our seat.
"Ugh!" I said.
"Hello, ladies." He smilingly greets us.
Camille nodded. "Hi, asshole. I didn't know this mall was letting monsters in."
Dylan's face darkened but he didn't speak. He just pressed his lips together. He sat in the chair next to me.
Camille was shaking. "And the courage you have to stand beside my sister after you hurt her—"
"Camille, I know my mistakes. Yes, I'm an asshole like what you've just said. I know I hurt my wife. I hurt her with everything I said. In a relationship, trust is more important and that's what My shortcomings. I'm narrow, bad-tempered, stupid, stupid, hard to love and a worthless human being. I freaking regret all of it. And I will do everything to bring my wife back to me. " Dylan said loudly as he looked straight into Camille's eyes. There was determination in his voice.
"Yeah. Good luck with that." Camille said sarcastically.
He turned to me. There was sadness and joy in his eyes as he stared at me. "Strawberry ice cream?"
I answer him. "Choco Berry Creme."
He nodded. He raised his hand and a waiter approached immediately. Our order arrived in just a few minutes. I smiled as I ate the ice cream I wanted.
I looked at Dylan as he sniffed it. He raised his finger and rubbed the edge of my lip. "I'm scheduling a check-up at your ob-gyn the day after tomorrow. I'll pick you up."
"I could go to the ob-gyn alone," I said coldly.
"It's my baby, too. So—"
"We don't need you, Dylan."
He smiled but that didn't reach his eye. "I know, but I do. I need you. You're my beloved, Luna."
Crap. How can I hurt him and torture him if I even have a hard time hurting him? Is my love for him this deep?
"You're a nuisance on my sister's date, do you know that?" Camille said rudely.
"Two-piece of advice, Camille. Back off and find a boyfriend."
"Don't talk to her like that," I said angrily to Dylan.
"Sorry." He mumbled and looked away.
I sighed and started eating ice cream in front of me. I smiled as the cold piece of berry landed in my throat. I was about to run out of ice cream when I noticed Dylan was just staring at me while depressed.
I raised an eyebrow at it. "What are you looking at?"
