LUNA

I opened the door of Dad’s home office. He was sitting behind his mahogany desk and reading a book. "Papa—"

"I said, no, already," he says coldly as he moves the paper to the book. "Kristian and Trey will take care of him. Relax, Sweetheart."

"Why did you put a price on his head?" I said before sitting down on the chair in front of the mahogany desk.

He smiled broadly.

"For exciting." After he said that he looked at me. "Have you taken your vitamins yet?"

I nodded and caressed the bulge again in my stomach. I sighed before speaking. "I still love him, Papa. He said he would do anything to get me back."

"But, he hit you. You still want him back?"

"I want him back, Papa. But I'm not going back to him that easily. He must suffer. If we’re getting back, I need to be sure that our relationship will be more stable.” I looked sadly at Dad. "Do you think I'll be a fool if I go back to his side?"

Dad was silent for a moment and looked away. I climbed to my feet for more comfortable sitting while waiting for Dad’s answer.

He stood up and slowly approached me. He was behind me and I felt him place his palm on my head and caress my hair. "Where would you be happier, daughter? Because even if others make you look stupid, they can't do anything, can they? Who are they to stop you from making you happy?"

I bit my lower lip and nodded. We looked at the door when there was a knock on it. Moments later it opened and Camille entered.

"Uhm, Skyler is here."

"He's what?" I asked.

"He's waiting for you, Luna. He wants to talk to you." But, Sky said, he was going to stop seeing me.

I nodded and stood up. I exited Dad’s home office and went down to the living room. Sky immediately stood up when he saw me downstairs.

"Prepare us some juice," I commanded the assistant I met before looking at Sky. I sigh. "On the Lanai let's talk."

He followed me as I headed through the double doors to get to the Lanai. The cold air immediately touched my skin. I sat on the chair on the coffee table and He sat on the chair in front of me.

"Need something?" I said awkwardly.

"You." He said seriously while looking straight at me.

"Sky, we'd talk about this."

He laughed a little. "Just kidding. I came here so you can see that I'm well and to thank you for taking care of me."

"I'm glad you're alright, now." I smiled gently.

I thanked the maid who brought us juice. I took that and drank, so did Sky.

"And, I found a new love."

I looked at him in shock. I lowered the stinking glass to speak. "You do? Where is she?"

"In Cali. She's my nurse there."

"I want to hear the whole story."

"She kissed me while I'm sleeping."

I frowned at what he said. "How did you know, eh, you were asleep?"

"I'm pretending to be asleep. I'm her first kiss. Then, I lied being mad, although I like her sweet lips, and she told me that she's interested in me." I can sense a longing in his voice.

"You love her?"
