Logan looked at her nearly-glowing ears and lowered his voice. "We can’t let the whole resort get poisoned by vinegar just to fulfill that second request, don’t you think?"

Selina’s ears flushed an even deeper red.

"You still haven’t found Angelica? Where could she be this late? Her phone’s off!"

The lead bodyguard shook his head. "We’ve looked everywhere. Could Miss Clark have already gone down the mountain?"

"No way! If she did, she would’ve called me!" The agent was pacing anxiously.

Someone nearby asked, "What’s going on? Angelica’s not back? Has anyone seen her?"

"No. She went off with that ski instructor earlier and hasn’t returned."

Selina furrowed her brow. Something didn’t feel right.

Angelica... missing?

"Call that ski instructor," the agent urged. "Maybe she’s still with him!"

Luke, who had no fondness for Angelica, still looked concerned. A person disappearing during a snowy night was serious—and he didn’t want to be the cause of any trouble for Logan.

But the instructor wasn’t answering either. A moment later, an assistant ran up with a grim expression.

"Young Master Reid, that instructor left the mountain two hours ago—vanished. His phone and bank account have both been deactivated. It looks like he’s on the run."

The agent gasped, "Then Angelica might still be on the mountain! Mr. Reid, please—send people to look for her. No matter what she’s done... she did save your life..."

Selina’s unease deepened. The instructor’s sudden disappearance, Angelica’s vanishing... it all felt off. Still, this wasn’t the time to stop a search.

Logan’s eyes narrowed. "Where’s the security footage?"

"We checked all of it," the assistant replied. "There’s no sign of Miss Clark leaving the resort. So she must still be somewhere on the mountain..."

"Split into three teams and search along separate paths," Logan ordered. "If she didn’t go down, she’s still up here."

The agent’s eyes lit up. "Mr. Reid, what about you? Will you look for her too? Angelica told me she found you after your accident because of some kind of spiritual connection. Maybe this time you’ll sense where she is, too..."

That eerie feeling Selina had in her chest only grew stronger.

Logan gave the agent a single calm glance—just one, but it was enough to make the woman shiver.

Still, Logan nodded. "This is Luke’s ski resort. If something happens, I’ll take responsibility and help search."

Selina tilted her head and followed quietly behind.

For half an hour, the search teams called out Angelica’s name again and again, but there was no answer. Selina bit her lip. She didn’t want to seem petty, but deep down, she didn’t believe Angelica was actually in danger.

Still, this was Logan’s so-called "savior"...

"Don’t worry," Logan said quietly, brushing her exposed ear. "I’m just here to help find her. It won’t change anything."
