Rose talked with Roderick for a while and then went upstairs when she heard that Ella had woken up.

Ella was Rose’s grandmother. She was mean to Eugene, but she was nice to Rose.

Rose sat down and talked with Ella for a while.

Ella was gentle with Rose as she gazed at the girl, who looked extremely like her daughter.

“Your husband didn’t come with you?”

Ella said, “I thought he would come with you. I haven’t seen him since you got married!”

“He’s been busy lately,” Rose smiled and said.

She thought Jimmy had been a nice guy, except for this time when they had a fight.

“Her name is Theresa. Do you know her?” Ella looked at Rose curiously.

Rose was a little surprised to hear Theresa’s name.

She looked at her grandmother and thought of Theresa having two children with Eugene.

Rose had been with the Watson family, so she still thought that Eugene was the father of Theresa’s children.

Then, she thought of the woman who had had a fight with her over Eugene.

Ella was confused. She had to find out what was going on.

She looked at Rose and asked, “Are the two children with Theresa?”

“Yeah.” Rose nodded. “I haven’t even seen them. She’s been hiding them so well that I don’t know where they are.”

Ella said, “She came with two children today, but I didn’t take a closer look.”

“They must be her children!” Rose said. “Otherwise, why did she bring them when she came here? Don’t you think it’s strange?”

Ella nodded. “Yes.”

In the dining room, Theresa placed some food in front of Cristina, who had been depressed and staring blankly since they came back home from the hospital.

Theresa said, “Have something and stop thinking about it.”
