Theresa picked it up and found that it was Eugene. “My mother would like you to come over for lunch tomorrow.”

Eugene said, “She said she likes you and wants to see you again. She looks much better after talking to you today. Are you available? I’ll pay you by the hour.”

It was a job for Theresa. Eugene didn’t think she would refuse.

Theresa said when she heard Eugene’s words, “I’m available, but… Cristina…”

Theresa turned to see how badly Cristina was injured. She didn’t think Cristina could go to Eugene’s again.

Eugene said, “Tell her not to come. I don’t want her to show up in front of my mother.”
