Chapter 1832

To her disappointment, there was scarcely any visible reaction on his face.

Sylvia seemed a fan of the idea. “That’s right, Liam has another assistant who is very experienced. I’m sure you can learn a lot from both her and Liam as well.”

Sylvia turned to Liam. “Liam, what do you think?”

Liam muttered, “It works.”

Caprice was shocked. He agreed almost without any hesitation!

“Caprice, do you want to?” Sylvia asked again.

As Liam turned to her as well this time, a pair of un-emotive dark eyes stared at her silently.

Caprice felt dizzy. Of course, she would love to! She could spend time with Liam.

However, Heather would not feel the same.

“Caprice? What’s wrong? Is there anything you’re concerned about?” Upon sensing her hesitation, Sylvia grew worried.

“Caprice, just tell us what’s on your mind. Don’t worry about it,” Odell spoke up.

Liam stared at her the entire time. There was look of confusion in his eyes that slipped past Caprice.

Caprice hesitated for several additional seconds, then she turned to Sylvia and Odell. “Aunt Sylvia, Uncle Odell, I don’t know how to get anything done. Liam needs a very capable assistant by his side. All I’m going to do is create more work for him since he’ll have to clean up my mess.”

“Oh, I thought it was something serious.” Sylvia chuckled and said, “Caprice, didn’t I mention that Liam has another senior assistant with him? You’ll be fine, all you need to do is just show up and learn. You won’t be a hindrance.”

“But…”

“No more buts. Do you want to go or not?” Sylvia demanded an answer.

Caprice glanced at Liam.

Liam was also looking at her, the indifferent look in his eyes as apparent as day. There was no telling what was on his mind at all, whether he preferred Caprice to work for him or not.

Liam had already excused himself midway through the meal. He must have something urgent

come up.

After walking out of the house, Caprice was about to head toward the car the driver usually drove to pick her up, and that was when she noticed Liam’s car.

It was parked right in front of the gate.

Caprice was surprised.

Wasn’t he gone?

That was when the driver stepped out of the car and opened the door for her, gesturing her to

enter.

Caprice obediently got into the car.
