Mine novel Chapter 52

Read Mine Chapter 51 - the best manga of 2020

Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Mine. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 51. Let's read the author's Mine Internet story right here.

Kimberly followed behind as Roy’s unconscious body was being carried into the house, with tears rolling down her cheeks.

“Roy, honey. Is that- oh my goodness! What happened?!” Christine explained coming out of the kitchen where she had been making dinner to distract herself from worrying over the meeting between Roy, Alan and Hugh as Kimberly was in no state to do anything.

Elijah explained what happened to his mom. Without any further questions, she hurried into the bathroom to get a first aid kit, a bowl of water and a towel.

Kimberly followed them into Roy’s bedroom. They placed his unconscious body on the bed. She settled herself beside him, stroking his hair as she sobbed.

“What about your father. Why isn’t he with Roy?” Christine asked the moment she returned back to the room, immediately resuming to clean Roy’s wounds.

Kimberly could tell that Christine was scared that something bad might have happened to her mate.

“I called Dad on my way here…” Elijah began.

“At that time, he was still with Alpha Hugh. I’m certain he distracted dad so his men could execute their plan.”

“Did he sound okay?” Christine nervously asked, her hands visibly shaking.

Kimberly quickly took the towel from the older woman.

“I’ll take it from here, Christine. I’m a doctor.” she insisted when Christine tried to protest.

“Mom, dad assured me that he was fine.” Elijah assured his mom, sensing her worry for her mate.

Kimberly continued cleaning Roy’s wounds, mentally praying that he wakes up because, no matter how hard she tried to deny it, he was the only person she could trust at the moment.

While cleaning his wounds, she noticed he wasn’t healing like they claimed werewolves did, making her extremely nervous. Then Elijah’s words rang in her ears, muffling every other thing anyone else was saying.

When those words left Elijah’s lips, she felt like she was stabbed a million times. This can’t happen to her a second time, she can’t lose Roy. The mere thought of losing him kills her already.

“It’s now all up to him to heal.” Elijah concluded in a defeated tone, bringing Kimberly out from her trance.

Elijah then signaled the other werewolves who were in the room to leave.

“If you’ll excuse me, Luna.” He said before exiting the room himself.

Christine wrapped her arms around Kimberly’s trembling form.

“I can’t lose him. I don’t want to lose him.” She sobbed.

Christine only soothed her, not bothering to say a word because she knew no words could comfort the broken Luna.

After what felt like hours, only sniffles were heard in the room indicating that Kimberly had stopped crying.

“Will you be okay by yourself?” Christine whispered like she didn’t want to disturb the silence in the room.

Not having it in her strength to reply, Kimberly only nodded in reply, earning a kiss on the forehead before the older woman pulled away from the embrace and left the room.

Kimberly stared at Roy’s unconscious body and couldn’t help but feel lost.

What would become of her now? Who would protect her the way Roy did? She wondered.

Yes, she was aware of the fact that these people saw her as someone of importance, but she doesn’t think they will be able to protect her from this 'Hugh' guy the way Roy did.

Walking towards his bed, she wished he could open those captivating eyes of his. She sat beside his unconscious body with fresh tears in her eyes, as she traced her fingers over his injured chest, remembering how toned and smooth it used to be. Then suddenly, she remembered that Alan had told her she had some sort of power, she decided to give it a try.
