Chapter 283
Maggie had the same thought.
She replied: [No time, and please keep your promise–make sure she doesn’t run off to my grandmother’s house.]
After a while, Franklin finally responded: [Okay.]
After that, he didn’t contact her again.
On the third afternoon of the holiday, while Maggie and her family were preparing to go rafting at a scenic area, Jessica sent her a photo.
In the photo, it was Julia.
Jessica was currently in G country and had been busy with fashion shows.
Maggie looked at the photo and replied: [Is she watching your show?]
Jessica: [Yes! Such bad luck!]
Then she sent another message: [She’s all alone, though. I didn’t see Franklin anywhere.]
Maggie replied with a simple “Hmm.” She wasn’t particularly concerned about this matter and asked: [When are you coming back to the country?]
Jessica: [Not sure yet.]
After a few more exchanges, Jessica had to attend to something else, so their conversation ended.
More than ten minutes later, Jessica sent her a video.
Maggie hesitated for a moment before accepting the call. As soon as she connected, the figures of Julia and Franklin appeared before her eyes.
Jessica snorted and whispered to her, “They just arrived. The show is over now, and he’s here to pick her
It was clear that Julia knew people there, and she was chatting animatedly with them, while Franklin stood patiently to the side, watching her interact with others.
Johnny had said that when he traveled, he would take Julia with him, and he was right.
But…
Seeing only the two of them without Isabella in the picture, Maggie furrowed her brows.

Chapter 283
Just as she was thinking about this, the camera shook. Maggie thought something might have happened to Jessica.
ร But when she looked more closely, she realized that Franklin had just happened to look directly at the camera.
Clearly, he must have noticed Jessica.
Jessica, startled by the gaze, hadn’t reacted in time before Franklin casually shifted his attention elsewhere.
Maggie and Jessica had been close friends for many years, and Franklin knew that. But in this foreign country, Franklin didn’t even bother to greet her.
But then again, he was always this indifferent towards her family, so it wasn’t surprising that he ignored Jessica.
After Franklin glanced at her, Jessica seemed hesitant to point the camera at him anymore.
Maggie, however, had no interest in the dynamics between Franklin and Julia. Her thoughts were on Isabella. She quickly said to Jessica, “I need to make a call. I’ll hang up now. When you’re back in the country, I’ll treat you to a
meal.”
Jessica immediately responded, “Sure, take care of what you need to do.”
After hanging up the video, Maggie tried calling Isabella.
But the call wouldn’t go through.
She thought for a moment and then decided to send her a video call instead. This time, the call connected.
Isabella was clearly happy to see the call. She immediately picked up, “Mom!”
Maggie could see that she was in a car.
She asked, “Where are you?”
“I’m overseas now!” Isabella said, excited. “I just took a helicopter to watch the wildebeest migration! There were thousands of wildebeests, and they just kept going on and on. Watching them up close from the helicopter was so
amazing!”
Maggie paused.
May… the wildebeest migration…
“You’re in Grumetti?” she asked.
“Yeah! I-”

The readers' comments on the novel: Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
