Chapter 284
Glen had yet to find the opportunity to go rafting with Maggie.
However, at dinner, he once again “coincidentally” ran into Maggie and her family.
Maggie’s uncle and aunt warmly invited him and his friends to sit down and have dinner with them.
Upon learning that he was from the White family, Jason asked with curiosity, “What made you suddenly want to return to America for development?”
Thinking back to the original reason for coming back to the country, Glen paused briefly while eating before replying, “I’m very interested in Cole’s programming language, CUAP, and the latest project, Infinite–CM. I wanted
to come back and learn at Cole.”
The Miller family knew about Maggie and Cole.
At his words, they all smiled and subtly glanced at Maggie.
Maggie silently lowered her head and continued eating.
Glen didn’t give it much thought.
Maggie’s professional skills were undoubtedly impressive.
But Glen had spoken to people who knew her and learned that she had only joined Cole last year. CUAP, however, had been around for many years.
Moreover, it was commonly known that CUAP was developed by Nolan at Cole.
In the eyes of the industry, CUAP was so impressive that it only made sense for it to have been developed by Nolan.
As for Cole’s latest project, Infinite–CM, he truly thought it was being led by Johnny.
After joining Cole, he had met Johnny a few times during meetings.
From the few interactions, Glen could sense that Johnny’s professional abilities were indeed very impressive.
But since he hadn’t had much in–depth contact with him, he couldn’t really compare whether Maggie or Johnny was more capable.
However, from what he had observed in work situations, it always seemed that Maggie was the one assisting Johnny.
Therefore, he had assumed that Johnny’s professional abilities were superior to Maggie’s.

Chapter 284
The Miller family was well–mannered, warm, and talkative. After this meal, Glen developed a good impression of them all.
However, after dinner, Maggie and her family left the scenic area to go home.
Once Glen saw them leave, he also didn’t linger at the scenic area.
The next day, Maggie received a call from Isabella.
Isabella was returning to America.
After handing out the gifts, Isabella, now tired from her travels, came over to cuddle with Maggie. Before falling asleep, she found a comfortable spot in her arms, hugging her waist, and soon drifted into sleep.

What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
