The next morning.

Charlotte got up early. It wasn't that she didn't want to sleep longer, but she had a meeting at the research institution today and needed to be there early.

When she finished getting dressed and came downstairs, Amber was still fast asleep, and Rose hadn't finished preparing breakfast.

Charlotte didn't rush her. She figured she'd just grab something on the way. But then, the doorbell rang.

"Who could that be?"

She was puzzled as to who would be outside her house so early in the morning, so she went to take a look.

The next second, she opened the door and was greeted by Kayden.

"Good morning, Pretty Ma'am!"

"Kayden?" Charlotte was stunned. "Why are you here? Did you run away from home again?"

He beamed at her and quickly shook her head. "I didn't run away today. I came to invite you to have breakfast with us!"

She was left speechless. "You didn't have to come all this way just to invite me…"

She remembered that the Norman residence was quite far from here.

"You've misunderstood it, Pretty Ma'am. Daddy and I live right across from you now!" Kayden explained.

He pointed toward a villa and said, "That villa is the one we moved into yesterday!"

Charlotte was shocked. "What did you say?"

Brian was living right across from her?

She immediately turned to look at the villa he pointed to.

Even though there was some distance between the two houses, it wasn't very far.

She could faintly make out a few figures moving around in the neighbouring yard from where she stood.
