Desmond’s hurried departure with Stephanie was nothing more than a quick distraction in the reunion. Not many people noticed it.

After all, Marco was the most important person at this reunion. Thus, not many people focused on what was going on with Dustin.

The guests were too busy trying to suck up to Marco, so they did not have time to bother with Shawna and Dustin for the time being.

Although the men were all interested in Shawna, they were in public. Plus, Dustin was there as well. Thus, they could only put aside their desires for the moment.

As such, the reunion went on. After a while, some people started to get drunk.

When people got drunk, they got bolder.

A man came over to Dustin and Shawna with a glass of wine. He was staggering.

“Shawna, it’s been a long time. Why don’t we have a drink?” the man said loudly.

Shawna frowned. She wanted to ignore this drunkard.

“I don’t drink,” Shawna said coolly.

“How can you say that? It’s so rare for us all to meet up again. Come on, just a toast. Do you think you’re still that haughty and admired campus belle everyone loved? Who admires you now?” said the drunk man disdainfully.

“Look at yourself now! You have a useless pig farmer as your boyfriend. Who do you think would give you their time of the day now? Asking to have a drink with you should be an honor for you! Come on, drink!”

Shawna’s pretty face turned icy.

Meanwhile, the crowd nearby ignored the drunkard. They did not move to pull him away. All they wanted was to watch the show.

“What did you say?” Dustin jumped up with a stony face.

He did not know if the man was truly drunk or faking it. Maybe he no longer wanted to even pretend to be decent.

He would stand up for Shawna since he had followed her here.

Besides, who dared to call him useless these days?

Ever since he left the Wyatt family, he had refused to accept that title anymore.

“Did you not hear what I said? I want to drink with Shawna!” the man yelled. “You dirty pig farmer! What does this have to do with you? Get lost! I can’t be bothered to talk to you…”

Dustin’s gaze sharpened. He suddenly snatched up the glass and hurled it at the man’s head.

The glass shattered instantly on impact.

The man let out a loud cry and clutched at his head. It was bleeding.

A woman nearby shrieked in fright.

This drew everyone’s attention. The noise of the party came to a halt.

“You b*stard! What the f*ck do you think you’re doing? You dare attack me?” the man screeched.

His enraged gaze pinned on Dustin. He pounced on Dustin like a beast.

“That’s right. We all used to be classmates. What’s wrong with having a drink together? How could you just attack him? You have no class at all.”

“Shawna, you’re too self-obsessed. It’s fine if you don’t want to drink with him, but you’re really heartless to have him beaten up.”

The surrounding guests all piped up, twisted the truth, and put all the blame on Shawna and Dustin. No one helped them at all.

“I shouldn’t have allowed Shawna to bring you, Dustin. How could you be so impulsive? Honestly, you’re ruining our reunion!” Devina also shouted at Dustin.

When he heard all the accusations, Dustin felt his heart turn to ice.

This was supposed to be just a reunion with Shawna’s ex-classmates. Yet, it had turned into a farce.

“What makes you think you can blame Dustin for this? That man was the one who was insulting him and me. That’s why Dustin attacked. If you want someone to yell at, then yell at me.” Shawna could not take it anymore. She stood up for Dustin.

“I think you’re all blind,” Dustin said with a laugh. “I’ve beaten this man. If you’re not happy about it, you can challenge me about it.”

For a moment, no one spoke.

Who would dare to go up against Dustin? All they could do was add verbal fuel to the fire.

‘You’re uncultured and have no class. He attacked someone on a whim. He might as well be a caveman.’

‘It’s no wonder all he can do is rear pigs. He’s destined to rot in the lower levels of society and achieve nothing.’

Those were the thoughts of some of the people in the crowd.
