Patricia had learned a lot about cooking from Dustin. That day, she was prepared to make a feast and show off her cooking skills to Dustin.

Patricia could not help but chuckle when she imagined Dustin smiling happily while eating her food.

As she drove out of the city and toward the suburbs, the number of cars on the road lessened.

When she turned a corner, a car suddenly flew out toward her. Patricia frantically hit the brakes and narrowly avoided the other car.

Patricia was pale-faced, and her heart was beating fast. She was about to get out of the car to check things out when a familiar figure exited from the other car.

“Kendall?” Patricia frowned.

She did not like Kendall at all, and she immediately became wary.

Then, several other people exited Kendall’s car.

After a while, Patricia’s car drove toward her and Dustin’s place in the suburbs, with Kendall’s car beside hers.

It was the first time that so many people were in their humble home.

From the looks of it, there were at least seven or eight people. Another car had come after Kendall’s.

She was being abducted by Kendall.

Patricia was tied to a chair in her apartment while Kendall leered at her from a seat across. The other men were hiding in the corners of the apartment.

“What do you want, Kendall?” Patricia had not lost her cool. Her expression was icy as she spoke.

“What do I want?” Kendall’s expression turned grim. “The Dhillon family is at the end of its rope now. What else do you think I can do?”

Patricia did not understand.

She had heard about what was happening to the Dhillon family, but what did it have to do with her?

“I’m desperate. Well, let’s see if I can bring you down with me. We’ll all suffer together…

“Your man sure is capable. He’s really shown me how powerful he is. This is the first time I’ve been forced into a corner like this.”

“Dustin?” Patricia mused.

Did the rapid fall of the Dhillon family have something to do with Dustin?

What had Dustin done?

“You told me that he’s a fool with nothing. How did he get so powerful? He’s making me chase my tail here! I even set aside my pride to beg him for mercy, but he still wouldn’t let the Dhillon family off. He’s really f*cking heartless!”

Patricia was taken aback.

Dustin was slowly making his way to the apartment.

He frowned.

There were a couple of unfamiliar cars in the vicinity. More importantly, Patricia’s car was not parked where it was supposed to be.

Dustin looked up to the floor their apartment was on.

It was quiet around him.

Dustin’s face darkened.

“F*ck!” Dustin said. Then, he went upstairs.

In the apartment, Patricia was motionless in her chair. A piece of cloth had been stuffed into her mouth so that she could not make a sound.

She was so anxious that she was crying.

‘Don’t come in! Dustin, don’t come in! You can’t come in!’ Patricia thought internally.

She knew that Dustin was very capable, but there were so many people here. Plus, Kendall had a knife pressed at her. She was afraid that Dustin would get into trouble because of all this.

She waited and listened as the footsteps coming toward the door got louder.
