Xavier's Pov:

The week-long Alpha meeting had come to an end, and although the Alpha's discussions had made no progress on Liam's case, they were returning to their territories one by one.

But my Alpha wouldn't go back with me, she was going to step into Blue Moon Pack territory to protect her pack.

I walked Lsabella to the junction, where the Blue Moon Pack was waiting for her.

If I could, I would love to kidnap Lsabella at this point and take her away from here. But I knew that Lsabella would blame me if I did.

I tried to suppress my impulse and pretended that everything was fine: "You must be careful on the way, I will take care of Blood Moon Pack, and you must take care of yourself too."

"I know, you take care of yourself too."

Lsabella today wrapped in a black trench coat, satin-like red hair swaying with the wind, the beauty of which I could not take my eyes off. But such a beautiful person is about to be snatched away by someone else.

A strange but annoying breath appeared behind Lsabella, the man named Jasper came over.

Lsabella also saw him: "This is my Beta, his name is Xavier. this is the Alpha of Blue Moon Pack, named Jasper-Adolf."

This Jasper is really an arrogant person, he swept me with a disdainful look, and then looked at Lsabella.

Perhaps he felt a different feeling, or perhaps he felt the same natural hatred pulled out by his bloodline as I did, and he suddenly looked at me again, his eyes revealing doubt and disbelief.

I smiled at him, "Long time no see."

Jasper's pupils shrank slightly, he knew who I was.

When the witch grabbed me and my brother and asked my parents to choose one of them, our parents cried out in pain in front of us, then they chose my brother with tears in their eyes.

As soon as the witch let go, I fell off the cliff, and I seemed to hear my parents' cries. But it was too late, the moon goddess had abandoned me.

Then I met Lsabella, she saved me in the mouth of the beast, and from then on, my life has a new meaning, parents or brother, I do not care anymore, I just want to guard Lsabella until the end of my life.

But my brother was actually Lsabella's mate, and he didn't treat Lsabella well because of that, instead he made things difficult for her, which made me feel angry.

Jasper's smile was grim: "My dear brother, so you are still alive. But you are really degenerate, actually subservient to a woman, willing to be a small Beta."

I really loathed his face, he wouldn't know Lsabella at all, but it happened that the Moon Goddess had chosen them, and Lsabella liked him...

Thinking about it I was even more disgusted with Jasper in front of me.

"What position I hold is my freedom, you are not qualified to tell me what to do with my choice. But Lsabella is the Alpha of our pack, and if you dare to harm her, I will not let you off the hook."

I glared defiantly at Jasper; maybe if one of us started, we could get into a fight here.

Suddenly, Lsabella grabbed my arm.

Was she angry because I had broken my promise to her? I hurriedly lowered my head, but I smelled a nice aroma. Before I could think about the fragrance, I saw Lsabella's half-open eyes, her body swaying because of her unstable weight, and she looked in a terrible state.

"Lsabella!" I turned sideways and grabbed her in a hug, and just as I had her in my arms, Lsabella lost consciousness and she fell into my arms.

"Lsabella!"

Lsabella's pov :

I knew I was unconscious because while Xavier and Jasper were talking, I felt so uncomfortable as if two forces were pulling on my soul, a feeling that gave me physical nausea and a feeling of wanting to vomit.

It wasn't just me, Nut was also on the floor in pain in my mind.

"My head hurts!"

"What's going on?"

"I don't know, this is the first time this has happened."

It would be bad if Nut didn't know what was happening either. The uncomfortable feeling didn't subside at all, and I felt like I was about to faint. I had absolutely no way to concentrate on what Xavier and Jasper were actually talking about.

I couldn't even speak anymore. I grabbed Xavier's arm, then blacked out and fell down.

When I woke up again, it was afternoon.

I realized that I was on my way to Blue Moon Pack territory.

It did make me feel uncomfortable that Xavier was not by my side, we had been with each other since we met ten years ago. After only such a short time apart, I already miss him.

The mind link was only able to transmit information within a limited range. With the mindset of giving it a try, I tried to link Xavier.

"Xavier?"

"I'm here."

Hearing his voice again made me feel much more at ease.

"I'm fine now, you don't have to worry about me."

"That's good."

"Take care of Blood Moon Pack for me, I'll be back in two months."

"Yes, Alpha."

Xavier's replies were all very abbreviated, and I wondered if he was still angry, but I didn't know how to comfort him. Suddenly, my mind recalled that nice scent, as if it was once again.

"...did you use any fragrance today?"

"What?"
