Noticing my long–time silence, Antonio urged me coldly and even kicked me in the shin.

I looked up at him with terror and anger.

Tossing him back the boarding pass, I said flatly, “I don’t give a damn about what you’re about to do.

“I’m only here to tell you that the flood discharge of the Stone Cliff Reservoir will begin in three hours, and your hometown Stone Town will be affected. I suggest you go back now to save people.”

Hearing this, Antonio frowned. He then took out his phone to check the news and the weather.

Meanwhile, Yvonne, who was standing next to him,

deliberately looked pitiful.

“Grace, if you don’t want Antonio to go on the trip with me, just say so.

“He’s the chief designer of the Stone Cliff Reservoir project. Are you saying he’d let the floodwater affect his hometown?”

Antonio put away his phone and looked over at me with disgust.
