"How is my little girl doing?"

"Doing good, sir. The tutor introduced me to Latin today."

"Did you like it?"

"It was very difficult. Why do I need learn Latin, sir?" Lyra looks up the man who frequently visits

her ever since that dinner when she was ten.

"We can skip that part little one since I know how well you do on your other subjects. "His warm

big hand gently pats her head. He looks down at her with a smile on his chapped lips. As always,

she sits in his lap which seems to make him smile even more. “Is everyone treating you well?"

"Yes. Thank you for always helping me, sir."

"Enough with the formalities just call me Elmir." he leans down kissing her head softly. "I will

always help you."

Happy to finally have someone who cares she leans in close and hugs him tightly. His hugs are

always warm and makes her feel safe. He was both her parents in one person. They stopped

with the physical abuse and chain her in the basement but their words still hurt like a whip.

"I like your hugs."

"Good to hear because I like your hugs too." he answers holding her tighter.

"When will you be back next time?"

"Work is busy now so I won't be back for another three months. Be a good girl until then?"

"I will Elmir."she promises with a big smile wanting him to be proud of her.

"That's my girl. Now give me a kiss and a big hug before I leave"

She kisses his cheek and gives him a tight squeeze when hugging not really wanting him to

leave. He plants a kiss on the cheek and stands up, placing her on the floor and waves goodbye

ready to leave.

"Hello Mr Neserov, mom and dad are waiting for you in the office." Jenny informs the moment

she walks in.

"Jenny." Elmir greets curtly. Winking at Lyra with a secretive smile he walks out leaving her

alone with Jenny. The last person she wishes to be alone with but knew she wouldn't dare do

anything with him in the house.
