Chapter 1354: Gone Mad

Following Camille's signal, Sienna also revealed Mario's threat to her to Jillian.

Sienna informed Jillian, "I don't want to hide it from you, because he knows we are friends now, and I believe he will use you to threaten me and then do something to harm you, so you need to consider carefully."

Jillian just nodded, "Don't worry, I know what to do!!"

Sienna expressed that as long as Jillian didn't mind, it was fine with her, and she didn't care about the rest.

The three of them had dinner and then found a place to sit down and have a drink together.

"Sounds good, but you need to keep yourself out of it at all times. Don't let Mario think that something is related to you. If Mario finds out that something is related to you and that you played a crucial role in it, I'm afraid he might get angry and do something. So, it's better to be cautious, don't you think?"

Camille looked at Sienna calmly. Although she didn't know Mario as well as Sienna did, having known him for many years, she still had a basic understanding of his ways.

Sienna agreed and said, "Yes, I understand."

"But if Jillian really manages to win over Mario, your relationship with the King family should still be able to continue. It would be a weight off your chest, and you wouldn't have to feel guilty. You'll have to thank Jillian properly then, at the very least, treat her to a meal, right?"

"I can treat her to meals for a lifetime. I'll open a long-term meal ticket for her at the restaurant."

Camille laughed, but she also knew that Sienna was serious about her offer.

The two of them went back to their homes separately. Camille changed her shoes and walked towards the living room but found it empty. She had to ask the maid, "Has Ayan not returned yet?"

The maid quickly replied, "He's back. He had dinner alone at home, and he's upstairs in the study now."

The maid handed Camille a bowl of warm bird's nest, saying, "I knew you were dining out, so I warmed it up for you in advance."

Under Talia's orders, the maid prepared a bowl of bird's nest for Camille every day. Talia said it was good for the skin and asked Camille to drink it more.

After thanking the maid, Camille took the bowl of bird's nest and finished it quickly as it was just a small portion.

Narrowing his eyes slightly, he spoke in his usual calm tone, "Cami? Why are you standing at the door and not coming in?"

His voice was natural and smooth, showing no discomfort.

Camille snapped back to reality, meeting his gaze as if assessing something.

She then spoke, "Um... I just came upstairs. I heard you on the phone and didn't want to interrupt. Who were you talking to?"

Camille walked closer to Ayan, reached out to circle her arms around his waist, and buried herself in his chest.

Her voice sounded muffled, "You're not lying to me, are you?"

For some reason, she felt that Ayan was keeping something from her, but she couldn't pinpoint it. Ayan gently held her, his fingers brushing through her hair, his voice unchanged, "Of course."

He changed the subject, "Who did you go out for dinner with tonight? Who was the old friend Sienna introduced you to?"

Camille sighed softly and briefly talked about Jillian and her relationship with Mario.

Ayan didn't care about who Mario was dating or how Jillian's identity might help Mario. He just commented, "Mario has been busy lately since the project has officially started. He must be there at all times because he is in charge of the project. He doesn't even have time to handle the King Group's affairs, and I've heard that the shareholders and senior management of King Group have many different opinions."
