Andrea let herself fall back at the backrest of her chair as her eyes noticed the clock on her desktop computer flash twelve noon. She closed her eyes and rubbed her temples as she let her mind relax from the thing she had been doing. It was just her first day and she already has a lot to do since the employee that she replaced was somehow, lazy and irresponsible and well since the position had been vacant for five months, there are a lot of pending files.
"Are you all right?" asked a voice that she can guess as Holden's.
"And here I thought school was hard, I shouldn't have complained," she said, opening her eyes and catching sight of Holden McKinley, standing comfortably by her cubicle opening.
He chuckled, "Sorry about the workload," he apologized.
"No need for that," she waved it off, "What are you doing here, by the way?" she asked.
"I am now beginning to doubt if what you wrote on your resume and the fact that you've graduated summa cum laude were true," he said.
Andrea rolled her eyes and then remembered they were supposed to have lunch together. Pretending she didn't forget she stood up and grabbed her bag, "I'm just kidding, let's go?" she said and together they walked out to the elevator.
They walked to the underground parking lot with only their echoing footsteps accompanying the silence.
"I'll drive us to the restaurant," Holden said.
"Okay. Let me just swing by my car to get your wallet," she said and made her way to the space where her car was parked.
"It's already working?" he asked.
"Yeah, my dad used it and I forgot to tell him that I use a different gas," she said, filling him in to the detail.
He nodded and remained a safe distance away from her car as she got in and took his wallet in her glove compartment.
"Got it," she announced with a smile after ducking out of her car with the wallet being waved by her left hand.
"Now, let's go to mine," he said and waited for Andrea to come up next to him for him to walk, his hand on the small of her back that is on the gentleman boundary.

"Lancey, honey, let's go eat lunch," the thin voice of Aunt Holly filled the whole office of Lance as she entered it, distracting Lance from his work.
