Chapter 45: Father's Acceptance novel My Father's Best Friend

Lance embraced Andrea, letting her cry on his chest, "Nothing's ever easy, Andrea," he said, as he stroked his hand on Andrea's hair.

"I know, but... But I never thought they would really react like that," she said, her words muffled.

"Nothing turns out as we expected, Andrea," he said.

It hurt him to see Andrea crying and how he became nearly useless in front of Simon and Pamela, her being the only one who talked, him half-lying at the floor with a bruise and blood on his face. After Andrea cried her eyes out o the dining room floor, he carried her to her room and watched her fall asleep. He watched her fall asleep before, but he never saw the sad frown in her face before, and that made her look more mature yet it worried him and made him long for the angel that smiles even in her sleep.

He kissed her forehead lightly and exited her room. Simon stormed out of the room earlier and being his best friend, or ex, he knows just where Simon is.

Lance entered Mix's and he didn't take long to find Simon, by himself, nursing a glass of vodka.

"Go away or I swear I'll kill you," Simon said, without even looking at Lance.

"Simon, you'd never do that," Lance said

Simon turned his head to Lance, "What makes you think I will not?"

"Because I know you," Lance said.

Simon laughed sarcastically, "Oh right, you know me, but here's the thing, Lance. I don't know you," Simon said.

"That's just crazy, Simon. You know me more than I know myself,"

Simon glared at him, "I never knew you were a pedophile who wants my daughter, and that pretty much is who you are, Lance," he spat out.
