My head begins to spin, my heart aches and my eyes fill with untameable tears. I shift back unwillingly and without realising.
My legs instantly give out, making me drop to my knees on the grass below me. My fingers knot into my hair, no doubt leaving more blood in the strands as I pull at it, sobbing uncontrollably.
Flashes of his smile, his loving touches and the happy moments we shared go through my mind and suddenly I'm thinking of all the memories we never got to make, the kisses we never got to have, the hugs, the smiles, the laughter, he never got to witness our child's first words, or first steps.
Our son will never know his father.
Rage boils through my blood, completely overwhelming the world shattering grief I'm feeling. Standing to my feet, I begin to march across the grass toward my uncle, who watching with a sick, triumphant glint in his eyes.
My hands bunch into fists in front of me, loud chants fall from my lips, as my hands shake and I snap my fists open, a howl of pain sounds from my uncle's wolf as I force him to shift back into his human form.
Wolves come at me from either side as I get closer to their alpha, but they end up with either their neck snapped or their heart torn from their bodies without mercy.
My chanting only stops when my uncle's body in laying on the grass, panting heavily from the pain of his forced shift. I roughly grab him by his hair, forcing his head upwards, which in turn he is forced to follow, until he is kneeling in front of me.
" You think you've won. " I growl, extending my claws and slashing them down the right side of his face.
He lets out a painful scream until he morphs into a laugh. " Of course I have, you have
nothing left. "
" You may have taken my mate, for that you'll suffer, but I still have this clan, I have a family, a son. Which is more than I can say for you. " I taunt, making his face drop.
" That's right, I tore out your only son's throat. He bled to death alone, because you couldn't just leave me be. " I continue, slashing my claws across his chest, leaving deep gushing wounds behind.
" I couldn't leave you be. " Cain grunts.
My fist roughly smashes into his nose, a sickening crack cuts through the air. " Why! " I shout, bringing my fist down again and again and again.
Cain coughs, blood sputters out of his mouth. I grab his neck roughly, digging my claws into his flesh just enough to draw blood. " Answer me! " I scream.
Around me, the vampires and wolves continue to fight, the numbers are still too large and I know in the back of my head this could still go either way and I should be helping them, but all I can focus on is making the man in front of me pay for what he's done.
My uncle's voice snaps me from my thoughts, causing me to glare down at him and listen to his words, but the sound of his voice only increases my rage.
" T-Thomas, he was supposed to be Alpha, but I was stronger than him, our father made us fight for the Alpha title and I won. " He coughs.
" I wanted Elliot to be Alpha, he deserved it more than some half breed filth! " He growls, wincing when I push my claws further into his neck. " But you, you could've taken the pack from him, from me. Your presence on the earth isn't right! You're an abomination! "
