Sebastian's colleague’s expression turned serious after hearing everything.

"Seb, you’re not joking, are you?"

"The surgical records are still there. It was Miss Hayes who sent people to say it was all your idea..."

As the realization sank in, both their faces paled.

Without wasting another second, Sebastian didn’t even bother finishing his shift. He handed over the responsibilities to his colleague and sped off toward the villa, panic rising in his chest.

As soon as he arrived, he rushed straight to Charlotte’s room. But she wasn’t there.

Instead, he heard noises coming from the basement.

Racing downstairs, Sebastian was horrified by what he saw: Charlotte was standing over Grandma Carter, forcing someone to hold her down as she tried to force something into her mouth.

"You old hag, how dare you bite me!"

Charlotte’s face was twisted in rage as she raised her hand, preparing to slap Grandma.

"Seb...!"

"Wh- what are you doing here?"

Her voice softened, completely different from the harsh tone she’d just used. The person who had been terrorizing Grandma moments ago seemed to vanish, replaced by the sweet, demure Charlotte she always showed to Sebastian.

Grandma, shaking with fear, retreated, mumbling through her tears, "Bella, help me... Someone’s hurting me…"

Sebastian didn’t respond to Grandma’s pleas. Instead, he coolly released Charlotte’s wrist, letting it drop as he turned to gently help Grandma Carter up from the floor.
