"—I'm going to look for you. I was a step late."
William replied as he stared at her.
Towards such an answer, Alice was already not surprised. When she found out that there was a reason behind everything, she was clear that William did not intend to give up on her.
She believed that William had really been looking for her this entire time.
She didn't need any proof, she just believed.
Now she knew why William was so conflicted back then. He wanted to break up, but wanted to break up peacefully.
The truth was finally explained by William.
"You were beaten by your father because of that?" Alice asked.
"Yes." William replied in a deep voice.
Alice stared at the dark scar on his ear, her eyelashes moved slightly as she asked softly, "Does it hurt?"
"It hurts!" William didn't deny it at all.
"..." Alice's heart stung.
"I asked for it!" William suddenly added.
Alice looked at him blankly. William reached out his hand to wipe his thin lip and said uneasily, "I asked for it! I thought you were better off without me, but you didn't! If I knew earlier, I wouldn't have broken up with you!"
People always regret after they have learnt a lesson.
She hadn't said anything yet. He admitted his mistakes quickly, admitted his regrets quickly, admitted everything so quickly, and it seemed so natural.
On the contrary, it didn't seem normal for her to be unable to accept it.
Alice sat there, her eyes were a little sore.
"Alice, do you still hate me?"
Alice looked at him in shock.
"I know you hate me." William looked at her, "I can see the words you carved on the bed!"
He saw it all.
I hate you. She carved those three words every time she was in pain. The marks became deeper and deeper.
But now, he told her that she was wrong about all of this.
He had sought her, he had not given her up, he had even betrothed for her sake.
"Do you still hate me? Do you not hate me when you digest these facts? " William stared at her as he asked, he was determined to find out what happened.
He didn't want her to hate him, he wanted her to cook for him every day, as she used to do.
"I don't know."
Alice honestly explained her feelings.
"Hatred is hatred. If you don't hate, then don't hate. You do not know your feelings?" William was not satisfied with her answer.
She just didn't know.
Now that the misunderstanding was resolved, she shouldn't hate him, right? However, those scars clearly existed in reality. How could they just be wiped away like that?
Continue to hate? Why should she continue to hate him? He did not give up on her. He had even been injured for her sake.
Alice lowered her gaze, her eyes were filled with dejection. She opened the bag at the side, took out the diamond ear nail, and handed it over to him. "I'll return it to you, William."
"Put it on for me."
William sat on the tea table and leaned forward, leaning in her direction and pointing at his ears.
His face was right in front of her eyes, and the thin lip could almost kiss her eyes.
"Don't be like that, William."
Alice frowned, she could not help but retreat.
"What? " William stared at her.
Alice froze in mid air with the ear nail in her hand.
"Have you finished digesting? Put it on and come back to the hospital with me!" William pressed her.
"Don't be like this, okay?" Alice could not help but say as she placed the ear nail on the tea table, "Give me some time to think about it, I'm really in a mess right now."
She couldn't stand his aggressive attitude.
With that, Alice stood up from the sofa.
William immediately opened his legs, his shoes stepping on the sofa, trapping her between his legs, as firm as a city wall, preventing her from leaving.
"William, I want to go back and calm down first. Can you not be so overbearing?"
Alice looked down at his face and said helplessly.
"I refuse!" William's hand, which was placed at the side, suddenly trembled. However, his face did not reveal any traces of it, and only a hint of pain quickly flashed past his eyes.
"Why?"
Alice stood there and asked.
William gazed at her, he spoke with a low voice, "If you are not by my side, I can't control myself!"
Every time he told her to stay away from him, he couldn't control anything.
The first time they separated, she went to Patrick's side; the second time, she was imprisoned by his mother.
She had to be with him.
William sat on the table and pressed his head with his hands. It was so painful that he kept on groaning.
Seeing that he was sweating more and more profusely, Alice did not dare to delay. She reached out to help him up, "Get up, I'll send you to the hospital."
He had to see a doctor.
Hearing that, William looked like a soldier who had won a battle. His face was pale white, and he gave her a proud smile.
She was just going to send him to the hospital.
Alice reached out to help him stand up from the table.
William was a little dizzy. When he stood up, he swayed from side to side for two steps, as if he was drunk. Alice almost fell down along with him.
"Be careful."
Alice said as she helped him leave this pure white world.
Alice brought William to the hospital, where Dean Jack was busy patrolling, and welcomed him immediately upon seeing him.
Dean Jack looked helpless, but he still bowed and said, "Mr. William, you need to rest. You need to stay in the hospital and be observed, you cannot go out. Miss Mona and Steward Daniel have been looking for you."
Being supported by Alice, William pressed his head with one hand, his face was still pale, and upon hearing Alice's words, he coldly said, "Stop with the nonsense, I have a headache now!"
Dean Jack did not dare delay, and immediately said: "Then let's go, Mr. William, I will immediately check for you. Come, let's go this way."
With that, Dean Jack also came over to help William up.
William hugged Alice's shoulders with one hand, his entire weight was placed on her body. "I only want you to support me, let's go."
Alice supported him with all her might.
"Alice, why are you so good-looking?" William pursed his lips, the more he looked at her, the more comfortable he felt.
How long has it been since he had a good look?
Dean Jack glanced at him for a moment before retracting his gaze.
"Don't you have a headache?"
"Ouch! Even if it's painful, I want to see you more!"
William said to her as if there was no one around.
People were coming and going in the hospital, and someone was passing by and looking at them.
Alice did not say anything, she simply brought William forward with her head lowered. William was too heavy, she felt as if she carried a mountain.
Alice accompanied William into the Principal's office. Dean Jack examined him and said, "It's still because you haven't had a good rest, Mr. William, you can't just sleep for one or two hours during these two days."
Just for an hour or two?
Alice stood at the side and looked at William in shock.
