William lowered his eyes and looked at the intertwined hands. A strange feeling surged up from his chest, and he was momentarily absent-minded.
"Got it."
After a long time, he finally said.
Alice smiled, "William, remember. No matter what you look like, I feel happy."
William lowered his eyes and looked at her, absent-minded once again.
William's condition slowly improved by Alice's enlightenment, and his cold armor was slowly taken off. He returned home earlier.
Even Holy astonished he saw William coming back.
A week later, Alice, William and the twins arrived in Britain.
This was the first time the family of four went out together, which was tantamount to having a family trip. Alice took photos of them with her camera.
The group stopped and walked along the road. Any beautiful scenery that Kathy encountered, Alice excitedly wanted to get off the car to take pictures.
Only William and Holy were left in the car silently.
Along the way, they saw a thick layer of fallen leaves and a lonely swing. Kathy was lying on the ground as Alice took pictures for Kathy.
"When will you guys be able to return to Cullens?"
William said in the car, but he still allowed them to take photos, and did not urge them to.
"Daddy, Holy, let's take a picture."
Kathy used all her might to pull on the car door and shouted, "Let's take a photo together, move your butts."
Holy did not reply.
William looked at the poll on his phone, and he lowered his eyes and looked at Kathy, "You can take the photos yourself."
"No, come down and take a picture together. Let's do it together. Come on."
Kathy shouted with all her might, insisting that William and Holy come down to accompany her.
"There's really no need." William rejected again. When he raised his eyes, he saw Alice in front of the swing, stepping on the leaves on the ground as she looked down at the photo. Her long hair was floating in the wind, and her face was filled with a happy smile.
She seemed happier than before.
It seemed that they had finally found the right way to get along with each other.
"Holy, get out of the car and take a picture."
William said as he looked at Holy, who was at the side. He then lifted his little face to look at him, and a hint of astonishment flashed past his eyes.
Seeing that William and her son had gotten off the car, Alice was overjoyed. She went up to touch Kathy's little head.
"Come on. You two sit on the swing."
Alice carried the two children onto the swing and made William stand behind the children. Since it was rare for William to cooperate with them, she gave the camera to the bodyguard beside her.
"Alright, Miss.Brown."
The bodyguard nodded.
Alice handed the camera over to the bodyguard and then ran over to William in a hurry. She stood beside him and reached out her hands to hug William's arms.
"\Ne are supposed to laugh, guys."
It was their first family photo.
"Mr.Cullen, you are looking down. Can you watch the camera? It will be better. " The bodyguard said while holding the camera.
William finally saw the camera.
Along with the shutter, a picture of the whole family was born in England.
As William expected, it was already late when they arrived at the Cullen's fortress.
Night.
The car stopped in front of a forest. Many servants wearing ancient clothing were already waiting there. Everyone bowed when they saw them get off.
The maids who took care of Holy and Kathy came over immediately and brought them to wash up.
Alice stood beside William and looked ahead. In the darkness of the night, there was a field of lights.
The Cullens in England.
They had finally arrived.
Alice took a deep breath, and slowly clenched her hands.
"Are you scared?"
William's voice sounded beside her ears.
"When you were away, I had been stayed here for four years. How could I be scared?" Alice smiled lightly and reached out to grab William, "Let's go."
"Young Master, this way please."
A servant bowed to them and led the way.
The Cullen Family was noble at night.
Alice held William's arm into the hall.
The nobles took this color as respect.
Alice and William walked in, and the servants stood on both sides and lowered their heads.
The two of them stood in the middle of the hall.
Alice really hated herself for tripping over William too many times.
She stood up from the sofa, looked at Elizabeth and said calmly, "I'm sorry. It's my fault. I went to the media to speak nonsense without clarifying anything, but just this once."
"That sounds nice."
Elizabeth said coldly, her tone still filling with dissatisfaction. She looked at them and asked directly, "Are you here to send your children back or are you here to visit us?"
Her son, she knew, was very little in kinship.
Send children?
Alice's eyes drooped slightly. She wasn't here to send off her child, so she turned to look at William, who was staring intently into her eyes. He raised his hand and pulled her to sit down, then looked at Elizabeth.
"Neither." William said in a deep voice, "We are getting married, so we came back to inform you."
These words were both direct and hurtful.
As Elizabeth listened, a flash of sadness passed through her face, but she was not surprised. She only asked, "Are you sure you want to get married? You won't change this time? Will there be a divorce after a while? "
Hearing this, Alice looked at Elizabeth in surprise, "Madam, are you agreed?"
Just agree to marry the two of them like that?
"Can I disagree?" Elizabeth said coldly, "You searched for William for four years, and every single person knew that you were an idiot. Even if you say something about annulling the marriage, once William marries another person, wouldn't the masses suspect that you had been ostracized by our family? How much of an impact does this have on us, the Cullens, and William?"
Now, it was a rumor society. No matter how high and mighty a person was, they would be drowned by rumors.
In the past few years, Alice had even ranked in the top 100 most influential women in the world. She was already at the top of the moral hierarchy, but without any background.
Hearing that, Alice laughed: "Thank you, Madam."
Her heart finally settled as she returned to William's side and sat down, revealing a big smile.
On the way here, even though she had chatted and laughed with Kathy the entire way, she felt nervous. Even though the relationship between her and the Cullen Family had eased up a bit, in William's absence, she had been worried that she might not get permission.
It was fine for her to not get permission, but what she was most afraid of was affecting William's mood.
William had improved slowly. He needed to live a smooth sailing life the most, and he deserved not to suffer any more.
It was good now.
"Alright, it's already very late. There are some things that I'll talk to you about tomorrow. Let's go have a rest first." Elizabeth did not spare them, and she turned to look at the maids at the side, "Has Young Master's room been cleaned up yet?"
"Yes, ma'am."
The maid nodded.
"Prepare a midnight snack for them and make some sweet soup." Elizabeth explained the situation in detail, and the maid answered repeatedly.
Alice sat there and grabbed William's hand tightly.
Alice was led into the room by William. She held his hand, intertwined his fingers, and followed him.
