- William was imprisoned
Alice listened quietly and added, "Landlady, your memory is really good."
"They were ones who stayed at my inn the longest. Of course I remember them. They stayed together every day, and even ate together. At that time, I thought that this couple was truly in love, but do you know what happened in the end?"
After saying that, the landlady suddenly turned and looked at Alice, and asked seriously.
Alice was intimidated by her.
Why did it feel like she was having a lesson in a school?
"What is it?"
She asked.
"The boy left and suddenly disappeared." The landlady pointed to the sea in the distance and said, "That girl cried for seven days. She was at the place where you were strolling today, crying all the time. When she left, she was already so skinny that she didn't look like a living person."
"..."
Alice was startled, she turned to look at the direction where she was pointing. The sea surface was illuminated by the sunset in an extremely beautiful color, it was magnificent, for some reason, she suddenly felt sad.
"Why did the boy leave?"
Sue asked, puzzled.
"Because he had enough fun. Everything requires a reason, except for being inconstant." The landlady said in a serious tone, "When I was in this place, I have seen many inconstant women, but the number is far less than that of men. Men are all inconstant."
After saying that, the landlady turned to look at them, "So you two must also remember, don't believe in true love, or else the one crying by the sea will be you two, understand?"
"..."
Alice sat there and quietly looked at the landlady. This old lady was a good person, she was worried for them.
There were many inconstant people in this world, but she believed that William was definitely not one of them.
Alice turned her head, only to see Sue looking at the sea in a serious expression, as though she was deep in thought. Alice asked: "What are you thinking about?"
"What do you think that girl was thinking decades ago, when she was crying by the sea?" Sue asked.
"Of course feeling foolish believing a man's sweet words. A man's heart is like the sea of our Borg Island, so deep that it's impossible for you to truly understand him." The landlady said.
Alice and Sue looked at each other in silence.
"landlady, did that boy and girl come back afterwards?" Sue asked again. Sue seemed to be very interested in the couple.
"No, the girl was definitely so sad that she wouldn't come back, and the boy would naturally go carefree." Suddenly, she looked at Alice and said, "Oh yes, they are also from the East like you guys. However, they are also from our island."
"Oriental on the island?"
Alice was stunned, there were even people from the East on this island?
"Back then when the Borg Family moved to the island, there were a few Oriental Slaves, and they also took root here to prosper." Sue explained to Alice.
"It doesn't matter if a man's status is high or low, they are all inconstant."
The landlady snorted coldly.
Following that, the landlady seized the opportunity to teach Alice a great deal, telling her not to trust the professor. She spent a total of two hours before Alice was released.
So much that when Alice used the kitchen to make the soup, her mind was filled with the theory of men being inconstant and women being stupid.
Alice poured the broth into a bowl, then placed the fried steak on a plate. She carried it up the stairs, which made some noise when she stepped on the old wooden stairs.
"Ahem, ahem."
A cold voice came from above.
When Alice raised her head, she saw the landlady standing there, looking at her with a gloomy expression.
"Why did you come up?"
'Tm sending soup to the professor."
Alice said.
"Give it to me." The landlady said coldly as she stepped forward to take the plate and bowl from her hands.
Alice was about to follow along when the landlady turned her head and fiercely glared at her.
Alice stood on the stairs and heard sounds coming from above.
"What do you mean, old woman? She doesn't want to see me? What nonsense are you talking about! You must be sick! " William bellowed.
"She just doesn't want to see you again. Please leave as soon as possible."
"Get out of my way!"
"It's getting late, it's time to go to bed. Please take a rest in your room and don't come out." The landlady said coldly and she walked down.
Alice looked up to see what the situation was, and then saw William chasing after the landlady as he roared, "Where I want to go is my business, you are only the keeper of a inn, aren't you too naggy? Where is my woman? "
Though the landlady was old, she walked fast. She walked down and pushed Alice away, then suddenly a steel door appeared out of nowhere and she locked it.
No electricity.
After a while, when everything outside quieted down, the landlady probably have already gone to sleep, so they took action separately.
Alice took out a bundle of candles and started walking up the stairs. William sat on the other side of the hollowed out door and was drinking her soup.
Seeing her coming up, William said unhappily: "You know to come back?"
Her man was imprisoned but she followed that old woman.
Shh, be quiet, don't wake up the landlady." Alice whispered.
"You're still letting her sleep?" William's expression was ugly to the extreme, he gritted his teeth and said, "You should arrest her at this time, I'll have the lawyer sue her!"
How dare she imprison him?
Foolish.
"The landlady is a good person. She has seen too many inconstant men and doesn't want you to lie to me." Alice lit the candle.
"How many men can she see on this island?" William snorted coldly, he moved the bowl away, stood up and stretched his muscles, then said, "Make way."
"Why?"
Alice looked at him, puzzled.
"I'll kick the door open!" William said coldly.
"Don't." Alice immediately stopped him, "The landlady is old, you will wake her up. Miss Sue has already gone to steal the key, wait a moment."
"I don't care if she dies or not!" William said in disdain, "Get away from me."
"Just wait a bit longer. I'll have a chat with you here, okay?" Alice did not go down. Instead, she squatted on the stairs and lit the candles.
After a while, the entire corridor was filled with candles lit by her, illuminating their faces.
Seeing that she was not willing to leave, William had no choice but to forget his thoughts of kicking the door open, and he sat down by the door.
"Do you want a candle?"
Alice passed him a bundle of candles.
"No!"
He was not in the mood. He was imprisoned by an old and powerless woman!
