- I'm here to save you
Retreat?
Right now, if they're retreating which will drag Lambert and William out.
If he was unable to save Lambert today, and William would truly have to bow his head and serve Lancaster. Lambert would thoroughly become a card that they could Play.
"Let's go, Eldest Young Master."
His other subordinate also began to urge him.
David stood there and looked at the steaming hot rice that Chinese liked to eat. Something must be wrong.
Trap.
It was a real trap.
David's eyes suddenly widened as he understood what was going on. This was a trap, but it was also true that Lambert was imprisoned at the other end of the secret door.
"Those who can retreat coming to the fake hills of District 6, quick!" "Don't get too involved with them."
David said to his subordinates while pressing his earphones.
Not long after, many of his subordinates were fighting as they retreated to the side of the fake mountain. David took a look at the numbers.
"Eldest Young Master. They don't use guns, they're weaker than us."
One of his men said.
"Alright, from now on. Don't spread out and leave. Come with me to save people and protect the injured ones in the middle." David said.
"Yes sir!"
David pulled the black mask on his face, then raised his leg and kicked open the door. He walked in without hesitation, and his subordinates followed him.
Inside the secret door was a long passage. The lights on the wall illuminated the passage in a dim manner. The passage seemed endless.
The tunnel was still very quiet, strangely quiet.
"Everyone be careful. There will definitely be an ambush or a trap here."
David said as he walked in front, and his two subordinates immediately rushed to walk in front of him. But just as he walked two steps, and the floor suddenly opened up. Two of his subordinates instantly fell down, and their screams were extremely terrifying, "Ahhh, save me!"
David's feet were at the edge of the space, lowering his head to look, the entire space was like a bottomless abyss.
The underlings stopped in their tracks.
The subordinates looked at each other, knowing that David would not let this matter rest. Thus, a few more subordinates rushed forward to stand in front of David to protect him.
After they had walked some distance, several iron chains suddenly flew out from within the wall. They tightly grabbed their feet like snakes that were swimming around, flinging them all onto the ground and dragging them towards the wall.
Several of his men fell down one after the other. Just as they were about to be dragged into the wall, and they all screamed, "Help!" Save me! "Save me!"
'Shoot!"
David said harshly. He picked up his gun and shot it towards the iron chains, and the subordinates behind him immediately woke up from their shock and took out their guns to shoot at it.
The gun sounds kept on ringing out, and the rebounding sounds on the wall could almost deafen them. However, David did not stop there and continued to shoot until the chain was broken.
The chain lay on the ground like a dead vine.
The lives of his subordinates were not in danger, but they had been hit several times and were badly bruised.
"Eldest Young Master, we can't go in again." One of his injured subordinates who was lying on the ground grabbed onto David's leg and said weakly, "There's obviously a trap here. If we go in, and they will only be sending themselves to their deaths.
David lowered his eyes and looked at his hand that was covered in blood.
Retreat.
This was the most sensible time.
"How's the meeting going? Have you received any news?"
David asked.
"Yes, I heard Lancaster sent the most unfavoured young master over. He's still a little kid, and the lawyer is in the middle of a settlement. He's greedy enough to ask the second young master to give them half of the N. E." one of his men immediately replied.
He sent the most unfavoured young master.
How humiliating.
William, how could this guy take it?
"Alright, all of you, leave!"
David ordered. Hearing that. Everyone heaved a sigh of relief, pulling the injured people and turned to walk back. All the way to the door, and there were already people from the villa waiting outside, as soon as they went out and they would fight with them.
Seeing that everyone had walked out, David closed the door without hesitation.
"Eldest Young Master, what are you doing?"
Someone saw his actions and cried out in shock.
"Go!" If you can break out, then all of you will leave! " David shut the door tightly and watched as the door slowly closed up. Suddenly, he remembered the car accident that happened to him when he was still young.
After the accident, there were too many people who sacrificed their lives for him. Housekeepers, servants and bodyguards ... there were too many of them.
After so many years, he did not wish for anyone to sacrifice themselves for him, even if it meant being a servant.
After closing the door. David unhesitatingly turned around and continued to walk deeper into the tunnel, no longer paying attention to the movements outside. There were more mechanisms the further he went, and the more David was almost hit by the thing that flew out.
"What a joke."
David said coldly.
"Well know soon enough whether we laugh or not." The secretary said, "Right, you are here to save Lambert. Someone, show him to young master Cullen."
As the bodyguard went to press the button. The wall in the distance behind the secretary started to move, which slowly revealing a room that looked like a prison. Lambert who was in a sorry state stood there. His clothes were in a mess, and his forehead was covered in blood.
He was still alive.
Alive.
David heaved a sigh of relief. The taut strings around his body loosened, and his shoulders dropped slightly.
Lambert stood behind the railings and looked at David who was standing far away. He was only one person but everyone around him were from Lancaster.
Separated by the crowd, and their gazes met.
Abruptly, Lambert stretched out his hand and grabbed onto the railing, staring at David as he shouted in a hoarse voice, "David, do you know what you're doing?"
"I'll save you."
David only had these four words, and his tone was calm.
Lambert's chest fiercely shook, and looked at him in a daze. "Who asked you to save me, David, don't forget, we have long broken off all ties!"
Go away.
Get out of here!
The secretary looked at David, then turned back to look at Lambert, and smiled as he cut them off, "Young Master Cullen, I'll let you see him. With just this distance, and we'll see if you have the ability to go over.
The secretary stepped back into the crowd.
The group of people slowly put away their guns and walked towards David.
"David!"
Being trapped there. There was nothing he could do. He could only forcefully grab onto the railing and hold on tightly. He wished he could break the railing.
Without any hesitation, David raised the gun in his hand and shot towards the secretary direction. The secretary quickly dodged and hid behind the crowd of people.
A group of bodyguards pounced towards David.
"Bang, bang."
David fired a few times. The bodyguards moved back and forward. All the way until the gun in David's hands was out of bullets. Not giving him any time to reload, they all rushed forward to capture David alive.
David grabbed the gun in his hands and smashed it onto a bodyguard's head, then walked towards Lambert.
