"How long is this camp?"

"A week!" I blurt out before smacking my forehead, realizing I could have brought more time.

"Well if it starts next Monday then you're okay to stay, but please come home after that. I miss my baby!"

"I miss you too mom." I whisper through the phone. She adds that I should take lots of pictures and still call her occasionally.

"And I'm glad you're getting to know these girls but a sport in college is very hard, and college itself in a different state can get really expensive, so don't get too excited." She tells me and I can almost see he scolding me for getting too far ahead of myself.

Jake must finally realize I've taken way too long to pee because he knocks on the door.

"Jen?" He asks semi- concerned.

"Who was that?" My mother asks so curiously.

"That's a friend of a teammate, I gotta go mom, love you!"

"Love you too sweetie." The call disconnects as a tear rolls down my cheek. I can't believe I just told my mother that big of a lie.

I walk to the door, pulling it open and invading Jake's space by hugging him. He seems confused at first but returns the gesture and wipes a tear away from my face.

"What's wrong babe?"

"Well I just bought myself another two weeks." I tell him with a small smile.

Anna had become my hero. She agreed with me when it cane to how possessive Jake was, and ordered him to loosen up. He still followed me around like a dog, pun intended, but at least I wasn't trapped in my room.

Currently Anna and I were sitting in the tv room and watching some cheesy Hallmark movie. It'd only been a day since I'd talked to my mom on the phone and it was relieving to know I had bought myself some time. I only prayed my parents didn't become suspicious. I hoped they wouldn't ask to see pictures or wonder about how much of a blast I was having. I hated lying to my parents, and I knew I'd have to come clean after this was all over.
