Eihan didn’t want to reveal that his other no sons had also been captured, so he subtly tried to probe by bringing up Noah’s situation. 

Samuel simply shook his head, his expression inscrutable, showing no intention of elaborating further. 

Ethan’s heart sank, and he began to argue. “Mr. Hell, every year, the taxes I pay are enough to support countless people. Even if something’s happened to me, shouldn’t I at least be entitled to know why?” 

Samuel sighed as if he had no choice, and asked. “Do you know Mr. Hayes from Willowdaler 

Ethan froze for a moment, stunned, before stammering, “Mr. Hayes… from Willowdale! Mr. Bell, you must be joking. someone of his stature?” 

How could I possibly know 

Though Ethan had some connections, they were nothing compared to Alistair. In the grand scheme, he was insignificant 

There was no way someone like him would have the qualifications to know a figure as prominent as Mr. Hayes

Though his legs had begun trembling, Ethan clung to denial, stammering as he shook. “No. Mr. Hell, what are you trying to say here! I’ve had no dealings whatsoever with the Hayes family from Willowdale. How could we possibly offend him?” 

Samuel let out a cold chuckle. “Noah kidnapped his wife and tried to assault her. Are you really going to say you didn’t cross a line?” 

Noah kidnapped Mr. Hayes’s wife! This is it… it’s over, Ethan thought. 

His Jegy gave out completely, and he collapsed to the floor in shock. Shaking his head, Samuel signaled to an officer to escort him out 

As the cold wind hit him outside, Ethan finally came back to his senses and quickly called his contacts higher up.

The first call went unanswered. The second attempt got him blocked. Ethan was so furious he nearly threw his phone. 

With no one to unleash his fury on, Ethan clenched his teeth and sped back to the villa. Inside, Layla and her two sons were blissfully unaware of the storm brewing, enjoying a lavish dinner at the table.

Layla, munching on a large crab claw, looked up and greeted him cheerfully. “Mr. Wright, you’re back! Come join us for dinner. It’s all still hot. We were starving and couldn’t wait for you, so we started. Hope you don’t mind!” 

Ethan fixed Layla with an unblinking glare, Oblivious, Layla only offered the pleasantry before diving back into her meal, fearing she might miss even a single bite. 

William chimed in from beside her. “This chef’s skills are so–so. For the wedding banquet, you’ll have to hire a proper chef. Every dish needs to be top–notch and as fresh as possible. Abalone, lobster, delicacies, everything expensive should be on the menu…
